I bought a car from Arnold Clark last year, i was going to hire purchase it but the sales assistant from Arnold Clark advised (after doing a quote) that i was eligible for a personal loan from barclays partner finance, he went on to advise the pros and cons of both finance options but the interest rates clinched it for me and i opted for the personal car loan form barclays at 6% per year with only £100 deposit and no large final payment. the funds were cleared with the garage the next day.

anyway i have had no problems with them and i was even sent a 6 monthly statement showing the balance etc, anyway last month i called to clear the rest of the balance and its was all done really smoothly and i have a fresh statement and balance paid in full letter within a week of paying by debit card.

Anyone buying from arnold clark should ask for a quote from this lot and if buying else where i do believe you can call and ask for a quote in advance if you know the purchase price.
