Good Friendly Service. Great Car Choice

My son and daughter in law were married in May 2016. As with most couples these days, they had their own ideas, none of which seem to include a special car for the bride and her entourage, despite planning their wedding for about a year; which is where we stepped in.

We looked on the web sites of various wedding car suppliers, and were pleased to find Allied Wedding Cars whose site was simple to use, showed prices and pictures of their huge selection of cars; classic, modern and the more off the wall.

We chose a replica 1936 taxi as we thought it would suit the couple as they are nearly as wacky as us, but the car did give a proper nod to the required gravity of the occasion.

Car booked up, deposit paid and sit back and wait. What somewhat surprised us that there was no email correspondence, but this did not matter, because when a phone message was left, it was answered promptly the same day which was fine.

A week before the big day, we were contacted for final instructions as to what we wished the driver and car to do on the day. This we provided and that was rather the last I heard about it as I seemed to be busy all the time during the day doing I quite don't know what!

Don't forget that no-one except my wife and I knew what the car would be, and so it was with some trepidation that it would go down well, particularly with the bride and her family.

However, the reports from those who used the car, 'the brides family and of course my son and his new wife' all agreed that they could not have been more pleased with our choice of car and the service.

The driver was most obliging and went out of his way to make sure that everyone he transported were comfortable and happy. Certainly our choice of car and instructions we gave and most importantly of all, how those instructions were carried out by Allied Wedding Cars and their staff helped make a very memorable day for all concerned.

Thank you Allied Wedding Cars, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Wonderfull Day

I found Allied Wedding Cars on Google and saw there a range of cars I could choose from and choose the Rolls Royce 1926 Phantom plus 3 other cars.

I made our day.

When I contact Allied Wedding Cars I felt I receive a personal survice and he made sure everything was in place. Cars arrived on time stayed with us all day and many of our friend wanted to have the photos taken with the Phantom. The drivers were helpful and friendly always on there with a helping hand.

Very Good Service

the company is a little old fashioned, but this is very important, they care, there service is extremelly good, paying attention to all details, also giveing advice where necersarry, bear in mind , on the day the car is the first leg of a very concerning day, and as such it needs to be early not just on time, which it was with the correct colour ribbon and a very smart driver who put us at our ease right from the start, i am very gratefull to allied wedding cars for getting our day off to a very good start, very professional

The Level Of Service We Recd Was Second To None,

the company is a little old fashiond to todays fast moving, not really careing counterparts BUT this lot are knowlidgeable giving good advise i needed help and understanding to arrange my only daughters wedding, i did not want to take on the worry of anything going wronge, the cars arrived early at my house, the cars were imaculate with the correct ribbons, all as ordered, the drivers were smartly dressed,cheerful and very accomodateing , in fact thanks to allied, the day got off to an excelent start thanks again to allied i have also strogly recomende your services to another familly member you must remember you do not just want a taxi on this very specil day you want a wedding car with specil people to help and assure you, sometimes with advise on timings and protocol its a one off day its got to be right

Helped Make My Day The Happiest Day Of My Life.

I feel I was fortunate to find allied wedding cars almost by accident allow to explain .. at short notice my original choice of company were unable to honour the booking , I was explaning this to a friend , who said try allied wedding cars as he had used them the previous year and was impressed with the service .

To say I was worried about my big day would be a massive understatement with only 3 days to go I was not over hopeful, however I had nothing to lose , I rang the office and explained my situation , they said they would see what if anything could be done and would phone me back within the hour , 45 mins latter they called and said not only could they do but could also supply the white vintage rolls royce I wanted .

On the day they called to my home 15 mins early the driver Derrick and the car reminded my of a scene from a Hollywood film , we were driven to the church and arrived on the minute of our booked time .when after we were driven to our reception, I was thanking Derrick and saying goodbye, my phone rang and my best man tells me his car won't start , the aa will be there ASAP, Derrick can not help but hear this , he then phones his office and requests could he return to the church to get the best man and other guests, they say of course .30 mins later every one is back together most of my guests did not notice the best man was late. It's seems there are still some companies out there that know how to treat people with some humanity, not only did they say what they were going to do and do ...they did more ...marks out of 10.....20.

Highly Recommended! :-)

Allied Cars were polite and professional. We found the perfect car, and they went out of their way to make sure it was there for our pictures before the wedding, parked out front during the ceremony to set the tone, and ready and waiting for our departure. The photographers and videographers got some amazing shots with the prestine white Silver Cloud. The driver was very well presented, courteous and a true gentleman. Heads were turning left and right as we drove through the town, and pulling up in that beautiful classic car was a great feeling. So glad we went with this company. They really did go that extra mile. Thanks Allied Cars!

Job Done Well!

My daughter wanted a chauffer-driven Rolls Royce Silver Cloud for her wedding last October, so I searched on my web browser for some firms which hired wedding cars, and found, among others, Allied Wedding Cars. They were the only firm which gave guide prices on their website, so I telephoned them. I found them to be extremely helpful initially, and they were able to provide the very car we wanted on the date we wanted it, and gave me a very good verbal quote during that first call. I received a written quote within a few days, and sent them a deposit by return.

3 days before the wedding, they telephoned me to confirm that the Silver Cloud was going to be at my address at 10.30 am on the Saturday. Well, the driver showed up at ten o'clock, with a beautifully immaculate car, and he himself was perfectly attired and extremely polite. Despite having to wait for over an hour, he made no complaint, and whisked us off to the church, remaining cheerful and chatty all the way (only about 2 miles).

After the service my daughter and her husband travelled in the Silver Cloud to the reception venue, where the driver presented them with a complimentary bottle of pink champagne! The driver and Car returned later that evening at the pre-arranged time to take the newlyweds to their hotel. His job was done. And well done!

I would not hesitate to recommend Allied to anybody needing a reliable, friendly service.

Do Not Use!

Having booked two cars for my daughters wedding with Allied cars they were both cancelled but fortunately it was in advance of the wedding. In requesting a refund of the two deposits I was told that it must be put in writing, which I duly did. I however only received one deposit not the two as requested in my letter. I telephoned Allied cars to request the other deposit be returned and again I was told that it must be in writing. When I highlighted that I had already put it in writing and I was not prepared to do so again I was met with an angry man who spoke down to me, saying that if I wanted the money without delay I should put it in writing. He was extremely rude, spoke over me and would not listen to me, he even said to me 'listen woman if you want your money put it in writing' before putting the phone down on me. My calls are now being ignored and I have a fight on my hands to have the money returned when Allied cars cannot meet the terms of the contract. I would recommend that anyone looking for a car should not book it through Allied cars and should only look at companies that own the car rather than a broker.

Dear Sirs,

This woman is the rudest most arrogant customer I have ever had to deal with on the phone.

She talked at high speed repeating herself again and again and used a thousand words without stopping. Every time I tried to talk she interrupted me halfway through my first sentence and I could not explain anything to her. Every time I said please stop talking so I can explain she refused.

Basically, we could not supply the car she wanted and asked for a refund which we sent her straightaway.

When she got the cheque she then told us she had paid for two cars and wanted the deposit for the other car at the time of the agreed cancellation. She failed to mention that she had booked two cars which are why she only got one refund.

When she asked for the second refund we tried to get details from her but she refused to write with those details and lambasted us for daring to ask for the details we wanted.

1. Her address.

2. Her phone numbers.

3. The date of the wedding.

4. The cars booked.

5. Money paid on the second car.

6. Date payment paid.

We were unable to ask her these simple questions because she never stopped talking. In the end after asking her to stop talking many times, we told her that unless she did and listened to us we would politely put the phone down as we were not prepared to listen to a constant repetition of everything she kept saying.

She refused.

We put the phone down politely.

If she gives us the details we require we will quickly investigate her claim.

We regret we cannot deal with hysterical women on the phone. If she had listened to what we had to say then none of this would have occurred.

Her fault, not ours.

I unfortunately booked Allied Wedding Cars for my wedding in June, I am only writing this review now as I have JUST got my money back after going back and forth with the insurance company and then escalating my case to the financial ombudsmen!

I booked my car – the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud – a year before my wedding,I paid my balance 6 weeks before the wedding and 2 weeks before the wedding I hadn't heard anything so called the owner to confirm, firstly he couldn't find my booking form, then he rang me back to say he found it and gave me the drivers name.

The night before the wedding arrived and at 9pm I received a phone call from the owner telling me that the driver had called him at 5pm to say he had put his back out and couldn't drive so he had been calling other companies since 5pm trying to find a replacement, but could only find a 'Rolls Royce Silver Shadow'. I do not know anything about cars and wasn't given a chance to look up the car or discuss it any further, instead he hung up. I then looked up the car and discovered it looks NOTHING like the car I had booked a year ago and wasn't white, it was actually cream with a green/red stripe down the side so I tried to call the owner back to tell him we did not want the car as it was not what I wanted. However he wouldn't answer the phone, we continued to ring him and leave messages until 10pm when his website said he would be available until. By this point I was hysterical, in fits of tears and had my Mum & Dad calling him and my husband to be, sister in law, usher and bestman calling local car firms to find a replacement. Many of the companies which they called informed them that this is something which Allied Wedding cars do regularly to brides. My husband managed to find a Jaguar company who could supply a wedding car the next day which we agreed to (at 9:50pm) so I emailed Allied wedding cars & left another message to ask for a full refund and asked them not to send the replacement car the next day.

The morning of the wedding arrived and the replacement Rolls Royce arrived so my Mum spoke to the driver and explained the situation to which he replied that he was so sorry and had been booked for our wedding for a week and a half (not since the night before like the owner had claimed), in fact the Silver Cloud which I had booked originally had been in the garage that week with engine problems but they had a replacement which they could have used which wasn't booked out. He was very apologetic and said he had no idea as he had been booked for over a week he had no idea that there was an issue. So as we didn't want his car he left and our replacement Jaguar arrived.

After the wedding we attempted to contact the owner to request a refund and had rude responses. Stating 'you wanted a rolls royce you got a rolls royce' I'm sorry, but a Ford KA is not the same as a Ford Mustang!! He seemed to believe the cars were of the same value.... in fact there is over a £100 difference between the 2 (and the ombudsmen found a version of the website which had these prices listed) and the car we booked is described as the most popular car and the one we got is described as a budget car.

He ruined the evening before the wedding as no bride should be crying and stressing that close to the wedding day, it should be excitement!

The fact that I was lied to regarding the car availability and driver was disgusting and very unprofessional. I have reported the company to trading standards and would urge anyone to think twice before booking!

Dear Sirs,

We did not say that this complaint was from 2012. We said that it was the only complaint on Review Centre since 2012.

Two of us spent 5 hours each, a total of 10 hours trying to get a Rolls Royce Cloud. That is not a lie.

We were told a week before that the Cloud may, I emphasise, may not be available.

The owner of the Silver Shadow told us he couldn’t supply a Cloud.

We told him to standby as a possible replacement if we could not get a Cloud.

After we talked to him we found a Cloud and told that man that we needed a standby and we would confirm or cancel by 5.30 on the Friday.

We rang him at 5.30 to be told that he had just taken an order from another customer and could not supply it.

We then contacted the Silver Shadow owner to say we might not need his car. We still tried to find a Cloud and at about 9.40 we confirmed the booking and went home.

We emphasise that the Customer signed a contract saying that if

in unfortunate circumstances we could not supply the exact car she ordered she will accept a similar replacement. Which we did.

If this complaint is not removed from the website we will take civil action against Review Centre and this customer and claim substantial damages.

She broke the contract, not us.

This was not 2012. I have the booking form, ombudsmen letters and insurance letters and also a letter from Mr Sherrocks himself. Oh and of course... Our wedding certificate!

Allied wedding cars has obviously done this so many times over the years they have lost count of unappy customers!!

Believe Mr sherrocks if you like, however be prepared to be upset, out of pocket and be ready for a lengthy battle with the insurance company and the financial ombudsmen when they don't deliver and lie about theirs reasons why.

To say you spent 10 hours looking for a replacement car for us was also a lie, u called me at 9pm and told me you had been looking since 5pm.but as it turned out that too was a lie as you had booked my replacement car a week and a half earlier (confirmed by the driver).

You may be confused about my reviewer name as it is obviously an anonymous name, this is because you were so rude to me and caused me so much upset I do not want any more dealings with you directly.

This is the first complaint about us listed on Review since 2012. FOUR YEARS AGO.

Please read all the complementally comments about us. We put an enormous amount of time and energy in trying to find a replacement for the car for this customer rather than just saying sorry to the customer you will have to find yourself a car less than 20 hours before the wedding.

We put in about 10 hours work trying to find a replacement car but we failed to find one at such short notice.

We decided to send a similar car rather than tell her a few hours before the wedding that we could not supply the exact car she had ordered and leave her to find one herself. She tried to do so on the Saturday and also failed to find a Cloud.

It was more important that a car did turn up rather than leave her without a car at all. The car we sent was the nearest design to the one she ordered.

The car she got from another Company was nothing like the car we sent, which was the replacement by Rolls for the Cloud.

We went home at 9.50 very tired and hungry, not having eaten since midday.

We made nothing for all the work we put in because we gave all the money to the firm in Essex who did turn up.

Since then we have had four hundred highly satisfied customers as the following very satisfied reviews prove.

This customer signed our Condition of Sale which states quite clearly that to quote.

“If due to circumstances beyond our control on the day we are unable to supply the exact car ordered we reserve the right to supply a similar car of our choice.” This very rarely happens.

We supplied a similar car from the range of cars we offer on our website. We carried out our side of the contract. She broke the contract by rejecting the car we sent.

The alternative car she booked elsewhere was nothing like the original car she ordered.

Just handed over full payment up front for a Bentley for my daughters wedding and no receipt was given. I'm very worried now after reading this review comments. Can anyone give me any first hand experiences?
