Hillary B Bridal Colchester

Unfortunately my experience at Hilary B was not a good one. When returning to the shop for my a fitting to rectify a previous alteration that was incorrectly done, I found the stitches on the straps of the 'finished' dress, were plucked and the material had been snipped so the interfacing was showing. With my daughters wedding less than two weeks away, I was very upset. Yes the staff did offer to rectify the stitching, but felt after two episodes of mistakes, I was confident that my outfit would be satisfactory for such an important occasion. I did have my money returned.

Due to my experience I do not feel I could recommend this shop.

I visited Hilary B with my sister who is getting married in October and her friend also a bridesmaid and the staff were so helpful I've never been anywhere quite like this before!! So helpful! We were served by Hilary herself and I would definately recommend Hilary B to everyone. Not one bad word to say, they have a big selection of bridesmaids dresses and they aren't pushy at all. I recommend booking an appointment as it gets very busy otherwise. We ordered dresses and shoes from there :)

I went to Hillary B on a very busy Saturday.They were so nice,non pushy,helpful,and it had an almost old fashioned feel to it.

Nothing old fashioned about the designs however.

I was most happy with my purchase.It was fun trying on all the accessories too.

I would definately go back.

Out of all the wedding shops i went to Hillary B in colchester was the best by far. With a wide selection of styles to try and the most helpful staff. I must have tried on 12 dresses and with everyone the lady who served me helped me into the dresses and even gave me a vail and tiara to try with it. I found my perfect dress for my big day...and always look forward to going in for my fitting updates. I found the whole experience very enjoyable.

I would recommend Hillay B to anyone who asks. Fantastic service, great choice and friendly helpful staff..what more can you ask for?

I was very happy with the shop,they were helpful with out being pushy.They were there if you needed them,but let you get on with it.(No ripping the curtains open whilst semi naked)Very friendly,and a huge range of stock.I would definately use them again.

I really have to disagree with the last review - I found the

Hillary B Bridal staff to be really helpful and friendly, and there seemed to be a good variety of styles to try on.

The staff seemed impolite to me, as if everything was an effort. The majority of dresses were far too small a sample for the average 12 dress person, which made it difficult to decide, they never helped me into a single dress and I had to struggle into them.

I would not be comfortable in recommending this shop, there are plenty others in Colchester to try first.
