Jean Sasson, Princess Sultana's Circle - An outstanding novel capable of inspiring the least feminist individual. Truly captures the terror and fear of life in Arabia.

Jean Sasson, Princess Sultana's Circle - Princess Sultana is a brave woman wanting the world to know to truth about Saudi woman. She pleads with us one person at a time to do something about it; I believe this is what she wants. She has her faults, but her heart is in the right place. The only time she is un-likable is when she turns to alcohol or cannot control her temper, sometimes thoug,h her anger is rightfully claimed against such people as her brother Ali or his friend Hadi.
I love the way Jeann Sasson writes so grippingly keeping you totally enthralled into the book. Yo cannot put it down, literally! I am glad I came across these books. I learned a lot of what I didn't know. I knew it was bad for these women, but I never imagined this bad. Through these books, women all around the world can be emotionally tapped to do something about their anger for these women's sufferings.
I do feel bad for Princess Sultana in the sense that she is still not totally free, neither are almost all the women in Saudi Arabia. She is of royalty and still her priveleges are less then half of a man. Her husband is rarely nice to her, she is lucky for that. And yet in comparison to a man in, let's say, America or London, she is held within a cage. It is women like her in Saudi Arabia that give any hope to all the others.

Princess Sultana's Circle is the most beautifully sad book I have ever read, its only competitors being the others in the trilogy. Jean Sasson is a supremely talented writer, and I greatly admire Princess Sultana for taking this risk to advise the world of Saudi Arabian womens' plight. I would seriously question any die-hard feminist's sincerity if she did not find this book terrifying! Princess Sultana, you are my hero!
