I prefer, and always have used as a result, a light bat. And this has sometimes meant that i've felt that its been more difficult to score boundaries unless i've timed it perfectly. Well with this bat thats not the case. Despite me using a 2.6lbs bat the ball pings off the bat, even with defensive strokes. On top of this the balance is superb and the overall look is excellent. The only complaint i have is that on my bat the stickers (which i thought were well designed) came off rather quickly and such a cosmetic problem is hardly a real issue.
I would definetly reccomened the slazenger pure blade ultimate to anyone who is looking for a new bat.
