“Very good. You can choose temp, spin speed. 1600 spin...”

★★★★★

written by Mendoza213 on 17/09/2023

I have had my Hoover HNF7167 machine since Feb 2007. Seventeen years. For many years there were 8 of us and a dog living here and when the the family moved out we ran a busy guest house for 10 years. The washing machine was always on, and usually doing 5 loads on Saturdays. Its only had 2 repairs. The drum split early on and the unpleasant engineer said there was a 5p in the filter so we got charged. We didn't believe the story of the filter as we had checked it before he came. Since then the belt broke this year. A local repairer replaced it for £50. I love this machine, I love being able to independently choose the spin speed and temperature, the quick washes and most of all the 1600 spin speed. I use a Washing Egg so no powder, liquid or conditioner just a bit of vanish once in a while. Mostly I do cold washes. Everything comes up clean. I always do a rinse and give it a clean after washing the dogs beds and blankets. My machine does not have electronic codes or lights that tell you how many minutes are left etc. It is a flaming good work horse.

owned this machine sine may bank holiday 2008. Never had one days trouble with it. only review I can relate to is the noise when n spin. Also the 2 hour programs are not economical but generally she is good machine, or has been for me.. Was shocked to read some of the reviews on here.

“Died after 18 months”

Both myself and my mother in law have owned this machine and both of us have had the same problems. Very noisy on spin, concrete has crumbled away. I only use it about 4 times per week, my mother in law less than that. Total waste of money, I won't buy Hoover again. Owned a zanussi before for about 8 years.

HNF 7167 is the most unreliable washing machine I have ever owned. Since it was new a couple of years ago the plastic paddles in the drum come loose and clothes rip on the holes in the drum behind the paddle. We have had engineer back ot least 3 times for the paddles and once for a new circuit board. Also drum replaced once and now unrepairable so very dissappointed at its unreliability. Even the Candy engineer is grumpy so we wont be having another Hoover. Shame because Hoover has been a good brand over the years but really let itself down this time.

Owned this Machine for 3yrs and it is now beyond repair. The bolts have come loose or come off lots of times and the concrete weight has nearly crumbled away. Shame because it had some good wash programs and was easy to use.

“I've had the Hoover HNF9167ZS Iconic washing machine...”

★★★★★

written by Coope on 14/12/2009

I've had the Hoover HNF9167ZS Iconic washing machine for 4 & a half years & never had a major problem with it.

Reading the comment above about the filter ~ erm... it's comment sense to clean it out once in a while! It does stop working properly if it's blocked, I've had that happen to me a few times but once it's clean out it works prefectly again!

The only issue I've had with it is, the electric display cant be seen properly, it's never really bothered me though. I will get round to gettng it sorted one day. As long as I hear the bleep, I know it's on the right programme & away it goes.

It's one of the best machine's I've ever used & I would highly recommend it to my friends & family.

“ The Hoover HNF7167 Can take ages to do a wash cycle,...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by projman on 22/05/2009

The Hoover HNF7167 Can take ages to do a wash cycle, except the quick washes. Often leaves scum markes (not rinsing properly?). Engineer has advised only using the quick washes for 1 or 2 items at most. Other cycles you have no control over how long it will take - it decides spin speed, rinsing water quantity, with weight sensors I think. Owned it under 1 year had engineers twice. Both arrogant and sneery - their attitude sort of: "you should expect it to go wrong if you use it for doing your washing". Told either we were using the wrong cycle or the wrong powder, (musn't use liquid -why?) and how could we laypeopel tell the heater had failed (doh! - feel the glass door front)...which it had. Fault is never the machine, its the washing, the user, the detergent.

We have had this machine 2 weeks over 1 year and the bolts holding the weight at the bottom have shaken them selves loose now 3 times. Resulting in the weight crumbling to pieces, the bolts bending and the plastic drum beyond repair.
Hoovers comment to this problem was that they have no issues with any of their products.
Unfortunately we now have a 1 year old machine, which is only fit for the skip.

This Hoover HNF7167 washing machine was £280 from my local currys. Against all the odds it still works, and hopefully will do for a while. Reading some reviews made me scared, only time will tell!

Why does my HNF 7167-80's pump cut out about 2 minutes into the spin cycle? If I switch it off and re-select spin to drain water off it repeats the problem. Can anyone help?
