Lovely garden centre, though like all garden centres a bit expensive. I would rate it higher than 3 stars but with working full time I can only go at weekend because it doesn't stay open late at night. If it stayed open till 8pm I would mark it higher. I visited the tropical fish dept. at weekend, the staff are very knowledgeable and we're a great help. The fish tanks are extremely clean. I also like the addition of the Edinburgh Wool shop and Cotton Traders shop.

I go to Ashton Park Garden Centre every now and again and have yesterday bought some excellent value plant pots which were on a 50% discount offer so I got 3 different pots for the price of one! The garden centre itself is nice since it has only recently been opened and there is ample parking space. The staff are friendly and there is a wide range of choice. The only thing I think, but perhaps this goes across garden centres, certain items are disproportionally expensive. A flimsy 3 piece patio set was £50 (that was with 50%) when at other places you can almost get a 4 piece set of similar quality. Still if you are a shopper that can resist poor pricing, then this comes recommended!
