Playa Blanca, HL Rio Playa Blanca Hotel

Just got back and what a great holiday. Our bungalow was very clean and tidy, we asked for two close to each other and were pleasently suprised to find them next door. Air con in bedrooms which was most welcoming after a hot day.

Reception staff, waiters and entertainers very friendly, helpful and efficient, also life guard was on the ball yet friendly.

Fab pool with plenty of sunbeds although do need to get to them by 8am, pool games etc most days. pool side bar serving plenty of drinks all day and eve. We were All Inclusive so ate in restuarant every day and there was always something to suit us all.

Closest beach 10 min walk was ok but further along the coast (bout 4 euros in taxi or 1.60 each on bus) was a lovely beach, great for swimming and snorkelling and all water fun.

Would def go back again.

This Hotel i would highly reccomend.. Rooms clean & spacious ,complex is lovely .. palm trees & nice blooming flowers everywhere.

Pools were nice , staff friendly .Food was good & plentiful . We are fussy eaters but always found something nice to eat. Entertainment was good & the entertainment team worked hard .Nice beach about 10 minutes walk away . Town about 25 minutes walk but only 3 Euro's in a taxi.

We booked with Lowcost Holidays as this was the best deal around. Very easy & pleasant company to book with.I would highly reccomend them.

More 3 star than 4. Bungalows spacious and clean if a little dated and could use some new beds as they were quite uncomfortable and very squeeky!

The food overall was good with a good selection - my fussy 10 year old always found something. The dining room could be a bit manic and they would benefit with a few ore staff to clear tables.

The entertainment team work hard with lots of activities around the pool. Evening entertainment was hit or miss.

The pool is fantastic - you do need to get up early to get a sunbed and the hotel were addressing the lack of unbrellas by the time we left.

The hotel is a 10 min walk from the beautiful Flamingo beach which is very safe for children. 2 beds and an umbrella at the beach is 9Euro. It is about a 20 min walk into Playa Blanca itself which has a great selection of bars and restaurants and a lovely promenade. A taxi is 3 euro.

Overall we were happy with this hotel. We got what we paid for which was a good budget holiday! We booked with Low Cost Holidays and would use them again too.
