I Tried Many Many Acoustic Guitars Before I Purcha
I tried many many acoustic guitars before I purchased a new Tanglewood TW1000SR dreadnought acoustic. This is the version with a solid A grade Engelmann Spruce top and solid Indian Rosewood back and sides. It is a beautiful looking guitar with a nice lacquer finish and a semi-satin neck. The nut and saddle are bone and the neck is mahogany with a bound rosewood fingerboard and headstock. The neck features inlaid green abalone hexagonal block position markers. The action is medium low and it has Elixir strings. It has gold Grover machine heads and has an Ivory Herringbone bound body and green abalone soundhole inlay. The tone is beautiful and it is a very loud guitar with fantastic sustain. In my search for a new acoustic guitar I tried Blueridge, Yamaha, Ibanez, Lagg, Recording King, Freshman, Norman, Simon & Patrick, Martin, Guild, Art Et Lutherie, Crafter, Fairclough, Walden, Cort, Hofner, Seagull, Faith etc etc etc. The moment I strummed my first chord on the TW1000SR I knew it was special. The tone is so good that I will be keeping this for a long long time. Being an all solid wood guitar it will only get better as it is played and ages. I am very happy with my purchase and my only regret is I wish I had bought this some years ago.
