I've seen lots of negative reviews! Just wanted to say that I had a very positive experience, 1st shop I had been too and thought it was great, found my dress and can't wait till jan till it comes in, I've recommend this store to my friend , who also then found her dress there aswell.

my daughter and I attended yesterday with 5 bridesmaids and my sister 8 of us in total. The staff were aware of how many of us where coming and made provisions for this. We bought our own champagne which they did not mind us opening and they supplied the glasses. Our consultant Was a very pleasant and helpful young lady who worked so hard to give my daughter the perfect experience and finally her dress. The manageress came over and introduced herself and said they had never had such a large group but if we needed anything just to ask her. After saying YES to a dress and placing the order we were given very clear instruction. The reason for 4* only is because we still have to return to the store to try on the final article. I will review again when this happens. As far as our experience goes at this stage I would recommend Lakeside Confetti and Lace.

I attended Confetti & lace at Lakeside for my bridesmaid dresses as I was looking for a dress from the Dessy range. They had quite a few Dessy dresses in stock (although a range of different sizes). I had a lady help me on my first visit and following such a pleasant experience with her she saw me through my next 2 visits with my bridesmaids in tow. She was bubbly, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately they didn't have an example of the colour I wanted, only in a swatch, however they gave me the details to get a swatch of the material sent to me with a discount code which was really good. I picked the dress I wanted for my bridesmaids but found the dress cheaper elsewhere (in another bridal shop). I contacted her and not only did she manage to match the price but beat it after speaking with her manager. I was delighted with the service I have received so far and my bridesmaids are due for their first fittings in February so I am hoping this experience will be just as good. I will do another review once this has been done.

After reading so many terrible reviews, I was understandably really worried about getting my dress. I originally bought the dress at the national wedding show in London, the staff were really helpful and lovely. After reading reviews online I was so worried but I went to pick my dress up yesterday. Its absolutely beautiful, its definitely made by the designer, the quality is amazing, the staff were really helpful. I had only made an appointment to collect the dress as getting alterations done elsewhere but when I said I wanted to try it on they just asked me to come back in an hour so they would have the time (completely understandable). Trying it on was great, they gave me loads of time, I tried an underskirt with it which I then ordered. They were quite busy with appointments, walk ins and phone calls, but I didn't see or hear anything rude or bad at all. They obviously work very hard. There was another bride in there who was trying her dress on that day and she was saying how relieved she was (presumably after reading all the reviews) Try not to panic reading the reviews, just keep calm, be nice to them and they'll be nice to you. The shop was spotlessly clean, the dresses on display looked lovely.

I have been looking for the perfect dress for over a month and been to over 6 shops and the novelty was wearing thin, I was sick of trying on dresses. I made an appointment at Confetti and Lace after several friends telling me not to go there.
I was so greatful for the help of Linta, she sat down asked me exactly what I wanted and found 6 dresses for me to try on and finally I fornd the dress it was amazing!!! I didnt feel pressured as I was left alone to talk it through with my mum and nan, they couldnt have been more attentive.
Would highly recommend making an appointment with Linta if it wasnt for her I would never fdound my perfect dress, I ordered it there and then!!

I had my 1st appointment with Confetti and Lace in November 2009, my wedding was the 31st July and it was my maid of honour's idea to start booking appointments to try on dresses. On my first fitting I was dealt with by a lovely young girl who asked what style of dresses I would like and also talked about a budget and kept in mind how much I would like to spend. Being a larger bride (at the time!) I was very unsure and nervous about what would suit me. I feel in love with 2 dresses and choose that day to go with a Veromia dress. I also explained how I was losing weight and asked if this was a problem, it wasnt and I was made to feel that it was my special day and I could have to have my dress how I wanted it. The next fitting came round very quickly and I was a bit worried because I had lost a total of over 4 stone! The dress was massive and had to be taken in loads but they got to work on this and the next fitting the dress was ok but still a little big, they managed to take the dress in a little bit more and I was pleased that they also shortened it loads as well (the designers seem to think all brides are 6ft).
I also brought my bridemaids dresses from them and was very pleased with the service we had on fitting day but there was a problem with colours and this left me feeling a little bit stressed!
Some reasons that I am not giving Confetti and Lace Lakeside is once I had brought my dress appointments were very hard to arrange, even when the wedding was only 2 weeks away. I felt weddings that were closer would of been given appointments before weddings that were next year. Also when I ordered I was told I could pay a little bit extra to have fittings on a Saturday as me and my bridemaids work I wanted to do this, but they then got rid of this service not long after I ordered my dress so we were left begging for time off work. I was a bit annoyed about this because surely if they can do women trying on dresses on a saturday they can also let customers who have brought from them try on dresses on a saturday as well.
I was pleased with most of the service I received though and would recommend to a friend.
