I Went On A Saturday Evening A Few Weeks Back And
i went on a saturday evening a few weeks back and loved it! husband and wife couple were lovely. brilliant little waitress, was very friendly and not too overbaring. both pizza and pasta were deliciously home-made and they had a very wide selection of wine.very nice little retaurant i would recommend it to anyone.but book in advance as it's only small and with food and service like that it would get full easily!

Didn't enjoy Pugsley's Piccolo Italia, food was bland and felt like I was being ignored by the staff.
I am sorry to the customer who felt like they were being ignored as the restaurant is very small its quite hard for this to happen unless your seated round the corner from the counter as we dont like to make people feel there being to overlooked from staff as its a blind table for this we appoligse as you can see from all our other reviews this is rare. As to the food you say being bland all i can do is apoligse and again this is also rare, we do tables checks which is a chance for the customer to say what they feel before they eat any more so it can be changed if needed.we would rather people were honest to us while in the restaurant so we can make your time happier and more enjoyable, so we appoligse you felt this way and hopefully you will come back to see that our other reviews live up to what they say.

Pugsley's Piccolo Italia is set in the newly refurbed strand this is a cosy romantic restaurant. the food is always freshly prepared and reasonably priced. The best place to eat in Barnstaple. Puts other italian/pizza places to shame!

Pugsley's Piccolo Italia Is A Great Little Restaur
Pugsley's Piccolo Italia is a great little restaurant on the Strand which should not be missed! The menu is plentiful and varied and best of all, all the food served is homemade and fresh. What a surprise when I asked for them to warm my little girl's milk in the microwave and was told that they do not have one!
The service was quick despite being busy, yet didn't feel rushed and the environment was cosy and comfortable.
I would highly recommend Pugsley's Piccolo Italia. It really stands out as a first class Italian eatery, a trillion times nicer than any of the big chain Italian restaurants.
