The Makita PTR2500 hedgetrimmer has plenty of power and is surprisingly quiet for a 2 stroke, the blades are the longest I have seen at 22" and can be adjusted through from 0 to 135 degrees, this helps when topping a hedge, the other advantage is that many other machines have the adjustment, but the blades have to be locked in set positions, the Makita can be set at an angle and you just tighten them, this lets me have total control over the position and where I have to stand when cutting. The on/off switch is large and therefore easier to operate when you are wearing gloves, starting is really easy with only 1 pull needed most of the time. Overall a very good machine, the only real down-side is that the blades can't be locked against the shaft when the machine is not in use, so storage in smaller sheds could be difficult, other than that a very good buy, well recommended.

I found this review very helpful because it was short and to the point. I have since purchased this product and concur in every way with the reviewer.
