Payement For Apartment
We loved the apartment apart from not being told that to get into apartment was so difficult.
My main gripe is that when I arrived and asked to pay with cash and no other option was offered apart from going on the web site and paying from there in the office which I thought was very insecure, I thought I was paying with my credit card not with pay pal I ended up paying £100 morei didn't realise until I returned to England The response from Old city apartments was very bad. I feel that I was robbed but will put it down to experience
The Worst Experience Ever
My one month stay in Cracow was set out to be a fantastic experience - great city, a nicely stylized apartment at a fantastic location (right on the main pedestrian street Florianska). Unfortunately, Old City Apartments turned out to be my worst customer service experience ever.
It started off quite well - out flight was delayed and we got to the apartment around midnight but an employee was patiently waiting with a key to let us in. That however, was where the high customer touch (or any kind of touch for that matter) ends.
First of all, we intentionally triple-checked if the apartment has internet and despite our month-long stay, they never made it work. The replacement device they installed lasted for about 1 hour and we had to spend hours in cafes nearby working and using the internet.
Secondly, the apartment was located above a restaurant and we shared the front door. That in itself is acceptable but the fact that the lock installed on that door only opened from the outside was a cause of several lost mornings. It happened 4 times (i.e. about once a week) that I had to wait 10-30 minutes for the company to show up with a spare key and to let me out. Can you imagine how annoying that is when you're rushing to a business meeting? Again - this happened 4 times!
Thirdly, the cleaners that were supposed to show up once a week actually did not show up at all (or perhaps once, it remains a mystery).
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, over my one month stay I had to call this company 26 times (essentially on average once per day) to either ask them to let us out of a locked house, to fix the internet (which they never did) or to send the paid-for cleaners. Each time I heard a different lie ("the internet broke but will be fixed tomorrow" - on day 2 of our stay) and this was not only humiliating and frustrating but also aggravating.
I have never felt so angry with any service provider before and given that I have talked to several of their employees over the phone which turned out to be equally unhelpful, I strongly discourage anybody from using this company's services.
All These Reviews Must Be From The Owners!
Oh dearie me - what a con! Should have realised right from the start when I reserved an apartment and received no confirmation. I left a comment on the website saying that they couldn't expect a lot of business if they didn't reply to reservation requests and received an email almost immediately saying that my spam filter must have blocked their confirmation email, but - hey presto - up it came at that very moment....
The confirmation was for a different apartment from the one I had originally booked, so I phoned the office and spoke to a very fluent English speaker called Marcin, who explained that my reservation had been received too late for that particular apartment despite the website showing full availability for the dates I'd requested. Hey ho - never one to complain, I took it on the chin and booked the apartment in the confirmation after checking the details and photos on the website. Like a mug, I paid up front for the entire package including the airport transfers, confident that I was dealing with a reputable company.....
I arrived at the airport on schedule and was greeted at arrivals by a very pleasant lad, who helped with my bags and chatted pleasantly all the way to the Old City Apartments office. We were met by a young lady who didn't acknowledge my prescence once the whole time we were in the office. There appeared to be some confusion over my booking and the lad said at first that I'd have to wait for a while as the apartment was being prepared, but then told me it was okay and we would be met at the apartment by the representative, who was cleaning it.
We drove a few blocks and stopped outside the apartment location - a building on the corner of Krakow's main square, a hell of a good location for a lazy tourist such as myself who likes only a short distance to stagger home from the watering holes. I was left with the Rep - a youngish girl with excellent English, who showed me up an interminable set of staircases, through a number of doors and along a progressively skanky corridor until we reached the outer door of Apartment No.3, in a kind of cul-de-sac of doors. On opening the outer door I was greeted by a rough enclosed balcony overlooking the rear of the building, a horde of builders with pneumatic tools doing whatever builders do down in the enclosed courtyard with some random garden furniture and a bed tucked away in the far corner. The noise was horrendous and I expressed my surprise and disapointment, but was told to have a look at the 'rest' of the 'apartment', and that the builders would be finishing soon and would be on holiday for the duration of my stay. There were various doors on the balcony, but when I asked where they led I was told that they were blocked off. Hmmm. There was a large, high-ceilinged room off to the right containing an enormous bed, a sofa bed, kitchenette and wardrobe plus an antique TV. The shower room seemed okay, but I voiced my concern that one had to walk onto the uncurtained balcony from the bedroom to access it, and could be seen from the windows of adjacent properties, to which my rep replied that all the windows belonged to empty properties and I wasn't overlooked.
Foolishly, I agreed to take the apartment on a trial basis, but said that if I was unhappy I would contact the office and request a move to an alternative location, which the Rep agreed to. I forked out 100 Euros security deposit and was left to my own devices with the promise that my deposit would be returned on the night before my departure if no damage was found.
To my eternal shame i didn't even inspect the apartment thoroughly before she left - it had been a long day and I wanted to get a shower and some shut-eye before meeting up with my Polish mates for the first round of our New Year's Eve celebrations. I assumed that a reputable company would have left everything in a reputable condition. Bless my naivety.....
I started to unpack my bag, only to find that two of the doors of the hideous, Barbie doll-house style, wardrobe were jammed shut. Not to be deterred (after all - I'm a rough and tough ex - soldier) I levered them open and they both fell off. I bodged them back on and used just the two serviceable doors to stow my kit, stripped off my travel-stained clothes and made my way out onto the draughty balcony, clutching a towel and my shaving kit only to be confronted by a rather startled elderly lady peering at me through the balcony windows from a window across the rear courtyard from one of the 'empty' properties. To her credit she didn't scream or faint - these old Polish ladies are made of stern stuff, but I did find that having my wedding tackle open to public scrutiny was rather disconcerting. The shower room door handle was hanging off, making it virtually impossible to shut the door, so I wedged a face flannel in it and went about my ablutions with a howling draught around my nether regions. On closer inspection it appeared that Chewbacca the Wookie had been the previous occupant, the plug was bunged up with hair / fur and had to be raked out before use. The shower leaked and flooded the floor, the bulbs in the fixtures were so dim that I had to shave by touch and the toilet splashed water over my feet when I flushed it. I wrapped myself in a towel and made my way back onto the balcony to find that there were three builders watching me from another window in another of the 'empty' properties. Enough was enough....
I rang the first of the numbers on my receipt to demand a change of apartment, but was told by the man who replied that he was 'only responsible for bookings' and gave me another number. This turned out to be an answerphone so I rang the first number again and got no reply. Same with the other numbers printed on the receipt. I dressed and went to confront the staff in the office, waving at the builders on the way past - who cheerfully waved back. After a brisk five minute walk I arrived at the office to find it shut, so I rang the other numbers displayed in the window and had no response from either of them. In mounting frustration I left a message on the answerphone demanding that someone ring me back, but it didn't happen. I decided to be philosophical about the whole thing, grin and bear it and go and get frightfully drunk with my pals instead of pursuing what was rapidly becoming a waste of my precious drinking time. On my return to the apartment I discovered that one of the windows above the first of the 'blocked off' doors on my balcony was actually the only means of ventilation for the kitchen of another apartment, and judging by the smoke and the stink the occupants had been roasting a large dog. I shut the window and opened the balcony windows and when I turned round there was a face peering at me through the one I'd just closed. I gave up and went to bed after draping the bed linen from the spare bed over the apartment windows. That's when I discovered that the walls were actually constructed out of cardboard and I could hear every noise from the adjoining apartment, and I do mean every noise.....
I could turn this review into a long and rambling comedy, but suffice to say that nobody ever contacted me, I had to visit the office on my last day and had an enormous argument about the return of my deposit and the taxi was so late for my transfer to the airport that I nearly missed my flight.
Don't be conned by this firm - they are the most disorganised, untruthful, unreliable bunch of chancers that it's ever been my misfortune to deal with. I have the patience of a saint, but this lot pushed me to the limit....

I've Stayed At One Of The Old City Apartments - Ap
I've stayed at one of the Old City Apartments - Apartment Lux on the Market Square and I have to say that it was great. To start with, the location of the apartment is the best - in the right center of Krakow, close to all shops, restaurants, museums etc. The apartment was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything that is necessary to cook on your own, the bathroom was very big and clean (clean towels were included). There was satellite TV, internet, new furniture. All in all the place was practical, cozy and elegant. You could feel the the atmosphere of old Krakow there. Plus, the staff working at Old City Apartments is very helpful and nice (the guy who let us in the apartment helped us with luggage, there was no problems with payment etc.)

Krakow, Old City Apartments Is A Very Cool Place -
Krakow, Old City Apartments is a very cool place - and each has its advantages and disadvantages but I feel that this company offers such a variety of apartments each has something for everyone. I was in the apartment Main Market Square 2 with my girlfriend. It ' s the best option for a romantic trip. Why? Because if you don ' t feel like going out you can just stay inside- you can find everything you need inside! Also kitchen is a really nice aspect - you might do this true romantic dinner without going out. If you don ' t want to sit at home (that is, just like us) there are tons of cafes, clubs, restaurants etc in the area is great!

Great Apartment In Krakow! Very Clean, Comfortable
Great apartment in Krakow! Very clean, comfortable and fully furnished place. 2 bedrooms make it ideal for up to 4 persons! Everything was included - towels, soap, ashing machine in bathroom, cooker in kitchen ... We found also a lot of spices!
Staying there was a great experience which created my new vision about quality while travelling!
A big advantage was that in the same building there were some restaurants and one or two (don't remember) pubs! Almost everything was very close to the apartment!
I could advise this location to all the people who wants to spend great weekend in krakow!
One word to sum up - excellent!
