Had this boiler for 5 years now it came as either used or new one with the double bed Victorian house I bought. I have one shower. This boiler worked a treat for 5 years now without a serviceman coming close to it so may call for a serviceman to do some sort of maintenance check but to my surprise it gives good hot water output on 2 taps at the same time.

“Ravenheat CSI120”

★☆☆☆☆

written by nnCombs1949 on 22/11/2016

Had this Ravenheat CSI120 for about seven years now we put it in when we had our new house extension to cope with the demands of the extra radiators we were told these new boilers were the way forward and would save us money as there was no pilot light running all the time and no tank full of hot water to store when we were not in. What a load of rubbish this boiler breaks down regularly !! The reset button gets pressed more times than the doorbell !! It's had two overflow valves three gas valves 2 fans a piece of plastic that sits between the gas valve and the fan that just disintegrated and when the birds ate the end of my flue Ravenheat wouldn't sell just the nose piece they would only sell me a complete flue kit £90 + VAT for something I wouldn't give you a tenner for, if anyone wants a flue kit by the way you can have it minus the nose piece. As I write this review It is broken again waiting for Gas valve number 3 and Fan number 2 it will be with us for Xmas then it's history and a real boiler from a proper manufacturer will be taking it's place. Avoid these units it's cost more in repairs than it did to buy our gas man even sends us a Xmas card he comes here to sort it that often.

“good boilers in my opinion”

★★★★☆

written by on 14/05/2016

The CSI 120 I have had in my property for the last 4 years has never given me any issues. It does what it says on the tin. If I were to make a gripe I would say it could do with some better sound proofing some thing that should be considered if you were proposing to install one in a sensitive area of the house ? This boiler replaced a Worcestor boiler that had become un-economical to repair. I was quite surprised when I carried out some research into various combination boilers that the Ravenheat boilers were one of the few manufacturers that used very little plastic in there construction I think of all the boilers I looked at & there were at least 12 they were only one of 2 manus that used predominantly metal in there manufacture. It was also pointed out to me by the installer that the heat engine was made of stainless steel and not a mixture of composite & stainless steel. hope this review may help ?

I have 120csi never work properly ravenheat came out fore over 1week every day could not find what was causing the fault after appox 2 months I was bald after pulling my hair out , I rang them up told them to take it out at there cost they would not replace it, after I said to them that my credit card was going to pull money back from b&q which they did not like I told them if i go down to b&q take a new one at there cost authorising it I will go ahead with the credit card refund b&q they will have the argument with b&q about the money ,they gave me new one right away that day from b&q, well I had the new one put in went ok for about 13 months but took out british gas maintance agreement and about 6 weeks later britsh gas was here again for appox 2 weeks change ever thing in boiler still had 1 fault 04 which we did not mtnd at that time only happened about 1ever 2 to 3 weeks now after about 6 months all the time british gas keep coming out cant fix the fault ,remember it only now 3 years old now I been given a lot of lies by british gas now by there engineers as they now turn down the water heat in side the boiler to stop the fault as there engineer is saying I wrong about the how hot the water is coming out of tap he is right and I am mistaken it was never that hot so I turned the water flow down to the bath it help but then notice on boiler the temp for heating still goes to 80 which it should do but the water temp is only goes up to 59 that is why my water is not hot in bathroom so going to find out from ravenheat tomorrow if that is right or british gas engineer trying to clear fault by dropping the temp because they cant clear the fault and will have to give me new boiler under my agreement ,I will up date this once I spoken ravenheat to see if british gas tried to pull a quick one over me

Don't blame the boiler. This is an installation fault.

“Absolute rubbish. Waste of money. ”

We bought a Ravenheat combi boiler which was fitted 14 months ago. It hasn't worked since Christmas and the plumber we used from Mirfield, sent a text to my mobile to say guarantee was due to run out. But sent it to an old mobile. Why not write and post something out? We have replaced it with a Worcester Bosch which is what we wanted in the first place. When I rang Ravenheat about the fault I informed them there wasn't one good review about them. Her reply was "yeah I know" ! Wish we would have looked on here before purchasing but the plumber said how good they were and he would sort out any problems. Liar.

Had the raven heat csi 120t combi boiler around 5 years and i can say it has been a total nightmare from day 1. Number 4 shows on the dial, have to reset. Number 28 shows, have to reset.Gets a little annoying when bath runs cold. Had pressure dial changed (faulty) expansion vessel changed (faulty). Now only get hot water when heating is on. Told by engineer that its now a faulty diverter. His advice was to bin it. My advice is avoid a raven heat like the plague and DO NOT BUY ONE.

error 28 is a low pressure fault if u want to call it a fault ?

The boiler is detecting low water pressure & doing EXACTLY what it is designed to do i.e shut down. It is a safety device !!

The fault would be if the boiler did not shut down !!

(I have no connection to Ravenheat or any other boiler manu)

Just replaced a Vokera Flowmatic with a CSI120 you don't relaise how good these modern boilers are until you change a tired old work house like I had. Simple controls half the size and in comparison very quite

Thought I had a bad boiler when I bought my flat and got an old leaky Saunier Duvall thrown in. To be fair the worst thing it did was leak. Eventually I got a new condensing boiler from Worcester Bosch which worked like a dream. Then I moved to a rented house and this Ravenheat CSI 120 Low NOx Combi Boiler (about 6 years old) and it is mercurail to say the least. I would never by one!

Got a Ravenheat CSI 120 Low NOx Combi Boiler which I think is a good, low rate, well priced boiler which fits in kitchen cupboard and is about half the price of a vailance!
