“Regular Service is best”

★★★★★

written by Cahill35 on 20/02/2016

It's like a car - if you don't look after them, they let you down. Ours was fitted in 2007 and going strong - it had a sticky valve once, other than that no problem (and it lives in the loft). Easy to re-pressurise as heating systems are like tyres, they go down eventually.

Great boiler replaced a back with this boiler kept a 3 story house warm and no pressure lose on two bathrooms and 1 shower the boiler made the shower in to a power shower it had that much force saved a load of money on gas to worked out 4 years in les gas to pay for boiler and another year and a bit to pay for labour. Would recommend I fitted magnet with filter as used old radiators it protects the boiler took filter out was full three times now seems to be ok just the odd bit .

“As a one man band installer I have fitted more than...”

As a one man band installer I have fitted more than 400 24/28Ji and Cdi's in the last 5 years and to date apart from one boiler that the heat cell developed a leak within the first month I have had no failures reported to me. I repair all makes of combis and most problems that I attend in the early days of the life of a boiler are a result of poor installation and more often dirt as a result of not cleaning the old system during installation. Worcester like most other manufactures have training courses and really it is up to the customer to enquire if the service engineer is factory trained. The one flashing Blue light along with other lights will tell the engineer just what is wrong. PCB's do not fail as much as is reported. Its just that they are not returnable so the so called engineer that guesed it was the PCB is reluctant to admit he was wrong and remove it to fit some thing else.

I found this review somewhat helpful because... however as someone who is about to have this boiler fitted by bg I was hoping to find it more informative.

Brilliant boiler. Quiet and economical. Looks good too! Would recommend if you're looking for an inexpensive boiler solution for a large flat or medium sized house, (up to 3 bedrooms and one bathroom). Water is heated to a very good temperature, and output to central heating system is more than adequate. Boiler has to be fitted by registered Gas Safe engineer or plumber so bear this in mind and allow for the cost of this on top of the boiler price.

I think the Worcester Junior 28i Combi Condensing Boiler is the best on the market! It is small, nice look, and is working very quietly!

I can get hot water in the winter with the heating on but in the summer I can't get much hot water sometimes I have to run the hot tap for 20 mins before I get any and other times hot water just won't come through, my boiler is only just over a year old. What should I do?

I have just had a Worcester junior 2.8 Combi boiler fitted. How efficient are they and can they save you money by being more efficient, or is this boiler not up to the mark?

Would a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 28 Junior be big enough to supply heating in a three bedroom bungalow? There are 10 radiators in the house, 61,900 BTU's and one bathroom with bath and separate shower. The bungalow is approximately 1400ft2.
