I Have A Set Of Hankook Optimo Radial Tyres Fitted
I have a set of Hankook Optimo radial tyres fitted to my Peugeot. The Hankook brand of tyres was recommended by a local garage (the owner has about 30 years vehicle servicing experience so I trust his opinion). He fully recommended Hankook tyres when the time came to replace mine (hastened by a blow-out of the previous tyres whilst driving and a slow puncture on another).I spoke to the mechanic who was able to find a set of new Hankook Optimo tyres that precisely matched the specifications given by Peugeot for their hatchback cars.Although the tyres are still relatively new, the difference in performance is noticeably different. Although admittedly new tyres have very good grip, I've been in cars with new tyres and on this occasion the grip is still the best.Plus, generally tyres that are totally new sometimes need to have a very slightly "worn-in" tread before their true performance can be measured. So far, their grip is excellent in both dry and wet conditions, and I've been able to drive along quite twisty roads without any fear of reduced grip (as happened on one memorable occasion with the previous tyre brand...).I'm very happy with these Hankook tyres. At the end of the day, if tyres are made to the original manufacturer specification (as these tyres do), then you don't need to fork out an extra 10 to 15 pounds per tyre when you can get a less expensive brand like Hankook and still get the performance and quality you need.
