Sports direct delivered my order to someone else's address and because they took a picture through their poor delivery company the former Hermes now called evri (evri delivery is poor) they refuse to refund I encourage everyone in this situation to take them to court to get these sham sorted and for everyone to know

“Tell me you were deceived, without telling me you were...”

I ordered three polo tops and a pair of jeans from Sports Direct. The package arrived only containing the jeans. I went through their resolution procedure for them to close it with an email stating... "Having completed a thorough investigation into your claim with both our warehouse and the courier, it has been confirmed that the item in question was picked and went on through to our quality control area, where it was checked and packed into your parcel. This was evidenced through reviewing CCTV and also the fact there was no damage to the parcel when delivered which can be seen on the proof of delivery. With this information, I am confident all items were shipped out within the parcel and therefore cannot accept your claim. " However, I messaged Sports Direct (with a photo also) to highlight the small fact that at the time of them posting the label on the parcel stated it only weighed 800grams (the exact same weight of the jeans only) and if the shirts were in the said parcel it would be at least double that weight. their reply was... "We have tried our best to help. However our investigations and evidence have proven all the items were in the parcel. We are sorry that we cannot accept claims with contradict the evidence." So either Sports Direct like to ignore rock solid facts for profitable reasons or they simply believe that the laws of physics cease to exist inside one of their little grey parcels, either way I'm now having to claim them through Paypal to pursue my lost money. Thanks very much for the huge waste of time Sports Direct. Disgraceful company service to say the least.

“DON'T BUY ONLINE ”

Purchased several items online. One item was missing from the parcel, which I reported to them. They responded to say they would look in to this. Several days later they stated that the item should have been in the parcel and that they would not be issuing a replacement. THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE THE ITEM I PAID FOR

Zero stars would be more appropriate, an absolutely terrible experience, I will never spend another penny with Sports Direct and will be telling anyone who will listen to not spend their hard earned cash there either. Utterly rubbish service, one item from my order was never received. I collected the parcel from the Kingston store, when I opened it the next day only the cheap £20 jacket was in the parcel not the CK Gilet. I was clearly robbed of my CK Gilet which was a gift for my son, someone else now has it! I will never buy anything from you again, please close my account. Absolutely terrible service, I would like my money back but you refuse. I wish zero stars was an option as you don't deserve any at all. Thanks for wasting my time and money. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND, anyone else buying from Sports Direct - check your packages whilst your in the store and in front of their staff as there are thieves operating at Sports Direct or their courier service. My item was clearly stolen and now I just have to suck it up and lose £119 of my own money. Thanks for nothing aside from stress and disappointment.

Ordered online ordered get delivered elsewhere or kept photo of delivery was not even my property courier was evri contacted sports direct and after weeks of messages got told as they have a picture of it being delivered even tho not my house I will not get my money back I would advise people strongly to avoid this store they have taken my money

Thank you for your review. I experienced the similar sort of careless customer service from Sports Direct. I called my Credit Card Provider to put my purchase as a disputed transaction. I got my money back from my Credit card provider. They will now claim the money back from Sports Direct. If you paid by a credit card, you could talk to them to get your money back from Sports Direct.

“Worse than useless customer service.”

Ordered an item (a suitcase) online as it was out of stock in the store. It showed as being in stock online so I paid for next day delivery as I was off on holiday in 4 days. Item hadn't arrived 3 days later but there's no option to cancel the order as there is no customer service other than by email which has a 2-3 days response time. Payment has already been taken (including the extra cost for next day delivery) but IF the item arrives there will be no one to receive it. This is no way to treat customers or to run a business. Absolutely useless. I will never use or order anything from Sportsdirect again.

Recently i order trainers on their website as gift for someone only one picture display which was not very clear & though they r without laces but on arrival i find out they got laces sports direct coustomer services refuse to pay for return postage i have to pay again if i want to return, order again another order above £100 thinking to deliver on store & get £10 voucher with it to spend which they mention clearly on their website & pay for postage again second time but their website not give me option to deliver my order to store to pick up only can do home delivery coustomer services refuse again to give me that £10 voucher even i spend more then £100 second time, so altogether i lose £42 for nothing, worse company i ever seen & deal with it mostly of them in the uk they r really helpful with customers and pay for their return free postage & adjust things with coustomer demand to keep their customers happy, never going to shop from them again.

“WORST COMPANY EVER TO BUY FROM.”

I bought some adidas trainers which were faulty and the customer service agent asked me to return them. He sent me a postage label which i used to send the back. After messaging them on the web chat and emailing them i still have not been refunded. The customer service is disgraceful they keep fobbing me of with different random answers and after 2 months i have not been refunded. each time a customer service advisor says i will deal with this now and you will get a response or refund and proivdes a fake time frame but this does not happen but in fact they do not care. They read from a script and have no intention to refund me. please save yourself from losing hard earned money by going to a reputable shop it might be £10 more expensive but better then being shammed totally. please uk government or trading standard step in and put a legal reprecussion on this sports direct. I have read so many reviews on trust pilot and they all have the same experience. No company operating in uk should be allowed to do this.

“Horrible, horrible store”

This was not my first, but definitely my last experience with SD. I bought 2 pairs of joggers in one of the stores, they seemed nice and the price was 25 pounds for 2 pairs. When I got home and tried them again I realized that those were rather small and a bigger size would be better for me. I then returned to the store and asked for a return and refund, but it turned out that THEY DO NOT REFUND MONEY, only store credit! Nobody ever warned me when I was buying! OK, I just wanted a bigger size, so I accepted. BIG MISTAKE! They gave me credit notes to use but didn't have the size in the store, so I went online and found a bigger size and ordered them. BUT! They charge for delivery, even for in-store pick-up, so I had to pay extra money from my bank card. AFTER 2 DAYS of waiting I received an email where SD has canceled one of the items because they don't have it in stock! After this, I received another of their credit notes, but the amount of it was less than it was supposed to be and the difference was THE DELIVERY CHARGE! So they not only screw me up, but they also charged me for the delivery TWICE! And when I tried to contact customer service, the best they could do is apologize for the inconvenience caused! So, I would not recommend to anyone to use their services and buy their goods. The goods are of poor quality anyway.

DON'T BOTHER They bombard you with emails and promotions, you order something they mess it up and ofcourse you can't speak to them no telephone number! they ignore emails! and live chat actually waited two hours after they said wait and no one bothered! Just another bad company NEVER AGAIN

No refund on new unused walking shoes. I purchased a pair of expensive walking shoes(£96:49)which proved to be too tight.I then attempted to return them,unused in original box with all tags, but was told Sports Direct do not issue refunds only instore credit or exchange. This is a policy I have never encountered before in a reputable? store. This policy was made clear on the receipt but only after purchase. I will never use or recommend Sports direct to anybody.

“Lovely staff but awful manager”

I recently visited the Dewsbury store, and sat on a stool to quickly try on some footwear. I didn't realise it was a kick stool being used by a staff member. I apologized and offered to move but the staff member was really nice and said it was ok and to finish what I was doing. A few minutes later as I was just about finished putting my own shoes back on a manager approached and in a brusque manner told me to move as the staff member needed the stool to work. I'm sure she saw that I was pretty much finished anyway but it was obvious she just wanted to demonstrate her authority in front of the staff member. Terrible. And when paying my items came up with the discount missing that was detailed on the label. The staff member on the till looked over to the manager who was still talking to the other staff member about 8 feet behind me. She clearly needed to ask her something but wouldn't. I asked her if everything was ok and she said she didn't want to interrupt. I pointed out that the manager was talking to another staff member so it was ok to "interrupt" rather than waiting and delaying a customer (me, in the case). She ummed and aahed and was clearly not comfortable about doing that, so I interrupted the Manager's conversation for her - politely I might add. My reading of this situation (which of course, could be wrong) is that the manager is overbearing, autocratic and unapproachable. The way she spoke to me and the obvious nervousness of the till staff member when interacting with her suggests a manager in dire need of training to overcome her authoritarian style.

“Great Customer Service”

I went into Sports Direct in Cwmbran to check out the trainers and after some time decided on the ones for me to choose. I asked the young store assistant named to get me a certain size. He went off to check and he was not long and told me they did not have my size. Upon checking some other trainers out he went back and fore to find the different ones I chose. I eventually decided on a pair and thanked him for his help. He was very patient with me and I was well pleased with him. I paid for my trainers and was served by a pleasant and respectful young man again. I am glad to say Sports Direct in Cwmbran have the right staff.

Do not buy from this company, they are a joke, ordered several tops and paid for standard delivery 7 days, on the eighth day i had to chase them up during a webchat with an advisor they said they could not give me a delivery date that i just had to give it more time, i said this was not acceptable and asked to cancel the order and was told by the advisor that the order could not be cancelled as she had just processed it for delivery and as such it could not be cancelled. the advisor then proceeded to cut off the webchat. never will i buy from this appalling company again, they would not know customer service if it punched them in the mouth aka will smith.

“Joke of a company ”

Send items of £115.00 back to them as they took nearly 6 weeks to arrive i sent it back via hermes as they sent me the slip. I gave them 2 weeks as i was told it can take upto 2 weeks for refund. I then contact them and asked was told due to covid nedd to give them sbot longer to process so this was now 1 month later so message again to be told refund had been done should be in account in next couple of days, so time goed by and still nothing checked with bank to make sure no nothing messaged them again to be told no havent received ur parcel back need to contact hemes so contact hermes to be told nothing they can do as reported this after deadline so went back to sport direct to be told tough poo not there problem will never buy from this company again bunch of scammerd

I’m never ever had this problem with other companies. Bought walking boots one appears to be falling apart with less than 2 months wear. Was told my SD online chat to take them back to store. The store refused to return them - told me head office would name and shame them if they took them back as they are worn (well of course they are worn they are walking boots !!!!) I expected at least a year out of a pair of walking boots Getting no where with customer service on email !

“Poor Customer Service”

Poor Customer Service and Online System Their online system leaves much to be desired. According to them, you can't cancel return process, or change the return method. Their system forces customer to send the goods in 7 days from the date of creating of return label. No other option. So you have no right to change your mind, to change the shipping method, or to change the date of the return. Talking to their representatives is like tilting at windmills. I sent several emails with request to cancel my return, that the 7 days is not enough for me, and with ask to change the date or method of shipping. With no result... Here's what i was told: 'we cannot cancel the return or make changes on our online return portal' - Mockery. I have been shopping online for over 20 years, besides, on various portals around the world, and this is the first time I encounter such nonsense, it's strange that their online system still exist. It was the first and last time I bought something on their website, and sincerely, I do not recommend it to anyone.

“One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with...”

Totally agree with all the complaints on here this is one of the worst companies I have dealt with, the only way I managed to contact them was through Facebook Messenger and that has been totally hit and miss as they leave it hours and days before replying, their web chat is not a chat it’s an automated go around in circles chat. They are absolutely awful and take no blame for anything. I ordered an item very early Dec and I was given a delivery date of 14th Dec, then when it did not arrive it was virtually impossible to contact them, eventually after calling one of their retail outlets who advised I used messenger someone replied. Is this what it’s come to that after taking near £100 off me the only way to speak to this huge organisation is through a social media web service, 2021 eh. Best bit is I went to the shop originally to order it and the shop advised it would be quicker online. They are a joke and I would advise don’t shop at Sportsdirect, they are terrible. Could be worse though and they could use Hermes as their delivery service, oh wait they do, brilliant two Sh1t3 companies

Hi I bought a pair of trainers from sports direct online.they are not to my satisfaction as my husband is a size nine but the trainers are at least two sizes to small so I need to send them back.I'm asking if I could take them to my local sports direct shop and exchange them possibly ?

Can you get a refund or an exchange for a child bathing suit? I bought an aged 11-12 for my 9 year old daughter and it's still tiny on her. It still has every sticker and price on it.

I have read a tonne of really bad reviews of this particular website and was wondering if my $40 order (plus $10 shipping) was worth the risk? I have 2 pairs of soccer socks ($5 each), a pair of women's running shorts ($20) and a grey hoodie ($13), all these items are in my shopping bag but I was a little hesitant to put my credit card details in and to risk receiving bad quality items. I live in Australia, so is ordering on sports direct worth it? Or should I just pay more and go instore to another sports apparel store? Thanks

I believe they are safe to buy from but based on my experience if / when it goes wrong prepare for a long, slow, dishonest battle. My order / delivery never arrived and I have to say the customer service people were the worst I have ever come across in my life. Personally I would buy items from anyone other than Sports Direct from now on as I do not believe in dealing with / supporting companies who happily treat customers as badly as I was treated. I would rather support reputable retailers. I did eventually get a refund for the order I never received so I think they are safe but if you can buy elsewhere then do. Give your money to people who appreciate it...

All the negative reports should be self explanatory. It is not just customers who are treated appallingly. Their warehouse staff are similarly treated, as has been exposed by more than one television programme. I have bought things from them in the past when I wanted something cheap and quickly. you get what you pay for but if something isn't t your satisfaction then good luck in getting it resolved. I have reviewed his company last year I think. i will not use them again, happy to pay perhaps a little more for better quality in the knowledge that I am giving my custom to a company that I am of the opinion that treats its customers and employees as they should be treated.

I didn't receive an order confirmation email after placing my order on Sports Direct. When I log in clearly in my 'Order History' I can see the three items I have ordered and their tracking number. But I cannot trace this apparently until it is dispatched? I am now afraid and feel suspicious, have I good reason to be? Help please.

Tracking is handled by the courier - it isn't available until the parcel enters the couriers system, which is usually late at night on the day it was dispatched - I am sure if you check the next morning tracking will be there.

Don't worry. You can't track until it has been actually collected by the courier. I have used Sports Direct many times and whilst not always perfect, they do actually deliver. If you have problems with the goods when they arrive, there is a free returns option which is not well advertised.

For me, the only hassle-free part of the experience was provided by the courier, Yodel, who kept me very well informed. So, hopefully, your fears will be abated once your order is dispatched. If you do need to email SD, I advise writing 'Do not ignore!' as part of your subject line - they only responded once I did that, and my refund followed soon after.
