The Three Bishops Isle of Wight

Spent last week staying just outside Brighstone and wanted a venue for a celebratory meal. Called into the Three Bishops for a drink and was pleased with the service, choice of Ale (Excellent Courage Directors) and the menu. Booked for the following day. On arrival, the service was again very good and the barman was pleasant. We (a family of 5) all ordered different dishes and the food arrived within fifteen minutes. All the food was excellent, the vegetables were not overdone and the food overall was nicely presented. The uniformed waitresses were very attentive, the beer was again just as it should be and even the garden with the play equipment kept the younger members of my family amused! The menu choices were good for a pub/restaurant, if fairly traditional, although that is not meant as a criticism. I would thoroughly recommend the Three Bishops and would go back without hesitation.

Having looked elsewhere on the net maybe someone has a problem as I have found several derogatory reviews identifying a specific member of staff, people would be better advised to ignore blatantly personal reviews and visit for themselves.

We had a great time and will recommend to all and return.

Get a new chef and more friendly appropriate staff and it will be fine!
