We left our Kerry Blue Terrier for 7 days having previously been very disappointed twice (gave them a second chance} at a large Kennels on Warrington road near Widnes.

On arriving the place looks lovely not like the usual prison camp type.

We were made to feel welcome shown around asked what our dog liked didn't like loads of things that gave the impression they cared. we were offered different types of kennel for him.

He could have his own food or they would provide it, in all they seemed to care.

They even offered a trial run so to speak to see how he got on (we didn't take this up tho).

We left him there with a slight worry as he can be a handful and protective we also left instructions for him not to mix with the other dogs as he likes his own space and will let them know about it.

When we got back I tried not to listen to then saying how well behaved he had been and very loving and playful.

But on seeing him it was evident he had a great time a Hotel not a kennel for sure we wouldn't hesitate to leave him again in fact booked him in for xmas.

He looked better than when he went in there he had been loved and cared for no doubt. Blue Grass Animal Hotel is a must for dogs .

This is the best kennels i have ever used.I now live in somerset and still bring my dogs back to blue grass.The staff are very good and have been at blue grass for years.

When we originlly booked our dogs into the boarding kennels back in February this year we were informed by the staff of the total cost we were going to have to pay. No problem. We checked the dogs into the kennels last Friday and went to pick them up on the following Sunday. On arrival the staff all seemed lovely and were happy to tell us how good the dogs have been, until it came to paying the bill.

Originally we were informed that the stay would cost £65 we picked the dogs up this had changed to £86!

We sopke to the manager who tried to tell us it was our fault that HIS member of staff got the price wrong and stood arguing with us for almost half an hour telling us he wanted the full money. After this experience we would never go back to this kennel as we left feeling very upset, especially when the manager asked us if we wanted to take a price list for next time!

There is not going to be a next time, avoid this place at all costs!!

bluegrass kennels exellent very nice people, willing to help, my dog seemed to be very happy and well cared for here, i found the staff very helpfull unlike a lady i rang at coft lodge kennels in rudheath whom had a very abrupt manner and put me off booking my dog in their just by the phone call, so i find bluegrass kennels to be the best in northwich, i would highly reccomend.

Blue Grass Kennels lost my dog

They said she was taken by a buzzard! We believed this until she was returned 3 weeks later by a member of the public, they picked her up on the main road into Northwich. Turns out she had escaped from an outdoor exercise enclosure. The only explanation is the gate was left open! In my eyes this amounts to gross negligence and they are incompetent in looking after dogs. I strongly advise against using Blue Grass Kennels.

Staff very friendly and obviously your dogs are well cared for here. The staff knowing the dogs very well and their characters when I collected them.

The staff are very nice and the dogs very happy when I collected them after their first visit here. The prices are also very reasonable. I would highly recommend.

Blue Grass Animal Hotel in Northwich is an excellent boarding kennels/cattery, opened in 1957. Centrally heated. In my experience all the staff are absolutely great, have been leaving my pets there for over 30 years - my latest dog was a severe epileptic and they ensured he received his medication and dietary requirements exactly as I instructed.

I certainly wouldn't leave my pets anywhere else.
