Still Waiting Now 20 Weeks Since Order Date. Phone

Still waiting now 20 weeks since order date. Phoned Artisan furniture 7 weeks ago and told order would be delivered within 2 weeks. When no delivery I phoned again and told order was in customs and was told delivery would be 2 to 3 weeks. Now no response from phone or email.

Orderd From Artisan Furniture 7th June And Told 6/

Orderd from artisan furniture 7th June and told 6/12 weeks - now coming up to 12 weeks Aberdeen, no dining table or chairs and shop has closed and their customer number is still being 'relocated' after two weeks of 'relocating messages'. No other contact other than Aberdeen shop asking me 24 hours before they closed to collect six chairs but no dining table which I politely refused. I just hope we get it eventually although the other comments depress me. In hindsight, delivery of up to 12 weeks should have been a warning.

Oh Dear, I Wish I Had Read These Reviews Before I

Oh dear, I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered several thousand pounds worth of furniture from Artisan Furniture. I tried to call today as the 12 week period is almost up and got the automated recording telling me the phone system was to be changed (completed last week supposedly)

I failed to read the small print so the 26 week delivery thing is news to me, I am now worried that xmas dinner will be eaten off my knee instead of the dinning room table I ordered. I am a first time house buyer so my house if very bare and I thought 12 weeks was almost impossible for my family to wait to be bedded properly and have somewhere to eat.

Has anyone actually failed completely to get what they ordered or is it just a rather long wait?

Also does anyone know how we stand regarding consumer rights and European law?

I hope everyone here manages to get what they ordered.....eventually!

Regards,

One seriously worried customer.

I Have Had Similar Problems With Lack Of Delivery,

I have had similar problems with lack of delivery, lack of communication etc with the Edinburgh store and even as of last Thursday the staff there were saying they would try & get delivery sorted. However today (Tuesday) I contacted consumer direct and they have informed me that Artisan furniture have stopped trading. I am sharing this so that those of you who, like me, have outstanding orders can start looking at their options.

Like Many Of The Other Comments I Too Have Been Wa

Like many of the other comments I too have been waiting many weeks (22) for delivery from Artisan furniture. After umpteen phone calls and a letter I finally got a reply from them about 4 weeks ago assuring me that the goods were now in the country and as soon as they had been released by Customs they would be in touch to arrange delivery. Since then absolutely nothing and, with their phoneline out and them not responding to e-mails I fear the worst.

I would strongly advise anyone thinking of ordering from this company not to.

We Paid A Sizeable Deposit On A Dining Suite At Th

We paid a sizeable deposit on a dining suite at the end of March in their Aberdeen store and were told delivery would be 12 weeks max. It is now 20 weeks and in spite of numerous e-mails and unanswered and unreturned phone calls we have had no response from Artisan Furniture. We were advised by the Aberdeen store on Tuesday this week that our order was ready for despatch from the East Kilbride store. Since then I have e-mailed and phoned the Managing Director, on his direct business e-mail address and mobile phone but still no response. The Aberdeen store has now closed (along with others) but a check with Companies House shows they are still solvent. Their website is also still open for business. Like others, the one star is only because the site does not permit zero. Site owners please note.

I like many others I bought from Artisan,as this was a relatively small item,I paid(in cash) in full!Should read FOOL! What is it today,I feel that they're taking away our TRUST in people & Companies, whom we think will treat us with courtesy! When you phoned re order you were told that "If YOU cancelled THEY

(who had broken the contract)would take 30% of said deposit! More money down the

drain! If only I had not been so busy, easy to say in hindsight.Sorry to all the people who came after me, I should have done more!!! This item was bought in March 09.

To add insult to injury,Artisan sent me a voucher for £10 off my next order & then

notification of their next sale!!

We Placed An Order With Artisan In Uddingston For

We placed an order with Artisan in Uddingston for table and chairs at the start of April. At the time we were advised of roughly 12 weeks for delivery. A couple of weeks ago we managed to speak to someone in their customer service team who advised it would be another couple of weeks and that they would phone us as soon as they have them in stock. That time passed and for the last two weeks we have not been able to get through to their call centre. Now when you try to phone their customer service team you get a message saying that their call centre is relocating from the 11th to 21st of August. Even though it is now after the 21st of August, you still get this message. Customers are advised to email them on [email protected] and as soon as their centre is open. We have emailed numerous times and still no response. The small print on our order form states that delivery can take up to 26 weeks and if we have ordered items from a manufacturer that we cannot cancel untill 26 weeks have passed and you must cancel in writing. Other wise you are liable to pay 30% of the value of the order.

With them closing their East Kilbride store down I have lost any confidence in actually receiving our order. Won't be using them again!!

P.S. I was forced to choose a star level when submitting this review, I wouldn't give them any.

Has Anyone Managed To Get Hold Of The Customer Ser

Has anyone managed to get hold of the customer service line, they have been saying they are re-locating for quite a while now??? We are starting to get a bit worried about whether we will ever get our furniture.

Have also called all the stores numbers i can find on the internet and not one of them is answering.

Very unimpressed and not sure what to do as have paid £300 deposit and hope will be able to claim back. Can someone let me know where they found out about the 6 months to claim thing?

We've bought from them before and it was fine last time, which makes us think there is a more serious problem this time.

Not Only Has The Delivery Been Very Late, There Ha

Not only has the delivery been very late, there has been no contact and to cap it all I cannot contact Artisan furniture by phone as even their 10p per minute service isn't working and the Edinburgh shop can't contact their head office other than by email. Used them before and was pleased but items were in stock. I would be wary of paying for anything in advance.
