I just bought a car from Stratstone BMW Leeds. The salesman was pleasant and helpful to the best of his ability but the management is in need of a major overhaul. Specifically their methods allowed my car to be delivered with :- 1. non-waterproof rear light clusters 2. Front tyres that were nearly down to BMW's recommended minimum of 3mm Contacting anyone by phone was virtually impossible as management had allowed too many staff to take holidays at the same time so, after 20 mins waiting, I was told there would be a call-back 'shortly' which never happened. This occurred more than once, another example of bad management practices. The leaky problem was sorted - the tyre problem denied under some obviously management inspired gobbledegook. The next management inspired farce came with the non-delivery of my tax disk which arrived nearly a week after I was expecting it because 'upstairs' hadn't posted it. Finally, my salesman posted it himself. Having dealt with Cooper BMW for many years , who have successfully addressed these issues,it seems very obvious to me that Stratstones have become to big for it's present management structure to cope with effectively. As a simple consumer I feel it is time for heads should roll to make way for less complacent new blood.
