Me And My Family Have Been Using This Hob For Abou

Me and my family have been using this hob for about 3 years now. We enjoy cooking regularly, though we are by no means serious cooks.

Quite frankly this cooker is a pain in the proverbial... the touch control reponds as you want it to only about 80% of the time. Yes, there is a knack to controlling it, but having to hold your finger on an 'approximate' area and in a 'particular' way, and wait the few seconds for it to respond (which is less likely if there happens to be water on the controls), is infuriating.

When cooking in the hussle and bussle of everyday life we don't want to be struggling with temperamental input technology. Nice idea, but simply doesn't deliver on its promise.

OK, so induction is as quick, or quicker, than gas by a nat's hair, and the minimalist surface is easy to clean, but if you like the feeling of being in control your cooking, then then buy a gas hob, and save yourself a few hundred quid to boot.

Brilliant Hob, This Aeg 78001 - So Glad We Bought

Brilliant hob, this AEG 78001 - so glad we bought it. With small fingers you might need to use the fat part of the thumb to make the touch control react every time. We've had ours a week and I'm used to it now!
