Embarrassing To Have Taken Friends There
Saturday night and only two tables occupied. Once upon a time this restaurant would have been stuffed to the guwhales. Simple menu which should have been easy to do but despite locally sourced ingredients was a disappointment.Barely opened mussels in tasteless sauce, crispy bacon you could wrap around a pencil. It doesn't take any real skill to hand cut chips, the secret is in getting them crisp. As for the suet pudding? A microwave recipe waved to a rubber consistency and a dollop of jam thrown on.
We were embarrassed to have taken friends there
Simply Great
We were delighted with this pub, went there for Sunday lunch as we wanted to have a look round the local church. What an absolute lovely village pub, we had the carvary with the choice of three meats, and many and various vegetables. The place was spotless, service friendly and cheerful, table service smart and attentive. Cannot praise this enough will return most definitely and recommend to our friends.

This was our first visit to England and our experience at The Old Bell was truly memorable. Our Steak and Ale Pie was served hot and was delicious. We also had the Sunday Roast and it was incredible! Hats off to the Chef and wait staff. Quality food and drink, friendly wait staff

I Think The New Menu At The Old Bell Public House
I think the new menu at The Old Bell Public House is excellent, our group of 5 tried the new menu yesterday evening and the food all round was superb, I would definitely recommend the old bell to friends and family.
The staff are friendly, the restaurant and bar area are clean and tidy, generally it has a lovely atmosphere.

I Have Been To The Old Bell With My Wife And Frien
I have been to the old bell with my wife and friends about once a month for about eight years, and the foods been great. But this Saturday was not good. My wife and her friend had chicken and ham pie and the pastery was under cooked, our mixed grill was very poor and bland.
I disagree with this review because...my friends and I ate here only last evening wanting to try the pubs new menu, this was delicious as agreed by all of us, we eat here nearly every week and always enjoy the food and the lovely atmosphere, overall a lovely time is enjoyed by us all, and very reasonably priced into the bargain
