We wanted to book holiday for 10 people. Because we decided to call just be sure that we got tickets to a same flight and got rooms for all party. We were shocked when we heard that the price grew up £900 from what we had on line. When we told about the difference we were told that prices change every minute and they are not updated yet. But it is not true, the price was same a month ago, today and next day. Avoid them!

“rip off britain candidate”

booked holiday with them to Marmaris flight prices were near original figure but overcharged nearly £200 for accommodation. as in previous reviews they deny everything. have been on suppliers site and prices were similar to what was on sunsave site so where does the extra £200 go

have complained to global travel group who hold the atol no brick wall mentality. med hotels who supplied accommodation not able to talk to me as sunsave booked the accommodation. tried letters to the director at ice lolly and sunsave he does not answer complaints but we now know how he funds free holiday give aways on tv programmes

“'Somewhat baffled'”

I have just spoken to a Sunsave operator on the phone after finding the holiday I wanted on their website. I was told by her that if I was not going to make a booking immediately then she could not help. I went on to tell her that I am a single traveller and therefor wanted a price update. She said the price on the website is the correct price. I knew this was not right as the figure was for a twin room. I further went on to say that I am ready to book today or tomorrow once you have given me the update. She still refused and I said in that case I will not be able to use you. Thank you and goodbye.

“Avoid this company! Interested only in sales, not a...”

i have never trusted companies where you book a holiday through phone, but decided to try once- that was a mistake. First of all after I have placed my order online, on friday evening, they started to call me at 9am on Saturday morning (usualy people sleep at this time)so I've picked up phone at around 12, but I was still sleepy. Lady started to talk very quickly, so I had to double ask nearly everything. Of course price that I saw online absolutely didn't match in the end what she said. what I saw online at the time of booking that hotel+flights come to £636, so I have ecpected that one peace of hold luggage and returns transfers for 2people would come to max 750£. price that lady told me was 859£ I was shocked, then she changed a room type to standard and said that it's now 756£ and I said ok (I have double checked with lady). Checked my debit card after and saw that they charged me 884£, gave them a call, they said they will check our conversation with agent and come back to me. Well I've got a responce that she told me price in pounds + pice for second flight in euros, so here is that trick, maybe I haven't heard properly and lady haven't make sure I was clear. Anyway the price in the end is much higher that it is showing on the internet ( 250£ higher!!!)and I couldn't cancel this holiday to get my money back. So I would suggest everyone to book on websites where you can see exactly what you confirming to pay. If you see big price difference between one of these "telephone" agents and online booking just wonder why is that? be carefull and don't let them to make you pay more for what you are not sure.

WE SEEN A HOLIDAY WE LIKED AT A GOOD PRICE WHEN WE RANG TO BOOK, THE INFORMATION HAD NOT BEEN UPDATED, AND FOR THE SAME PACKAGE WAS GOING TO COST US AN EXTRA £200, AND THE DEPOSIT THEY WANTED ON THE SCREEN WASNT CORRECT. THEY REALLY ARE CON MERCHANTS

Recently I booked a holiday in Nov 2009 through Sunsave to Portugal, as it was near end of year time my wife and I asked for a possible sea view or south facing hotel room with balcony to be able to sit in the sun, at this time of the year and with our age it now makes walking more difficult. I booked over the telephone in October by credit card.I was told that a request had been put in for our south facing room. Arriving late at the Alba Hotel Monte Gordo on the 3rd Nov 2009 we did not realise unti the second day that we had a North facing room.I was able on the 5th Nov to speak to the Hotel Manager, who said yes the North facing room did not get any sun at that time especially but could not give us a south facing room as the Hotel was under contract to a DUTCH company who had all the South facing rooms for their clients. I tried over the next few days to contact the REP via the telephone number given on the booking form. However it was not until the 9th that I asked the Hotel to telephone for me and I managed to contact the SUNSAVE Company, after being traferred after my explaining the problem I was told only the REP could help..I then tried again and again until finally I got the REP who gave me another number for another REP dealing with the MONTE GORDO area. After explaining again and the REP talking to the Reception I asked would it be possible to move to another Hotel nearby with a south facing balcony for the last week of our holiday..The REP rang back some time later to confirm that we could move to another Hotel if we paid another 342.12 EUROS extra. As Pensioners we could not take up this offer so stayed on at the ALBA HOTEL. On leaving I was presented with a bill for tephone calls locally to the REPS and the UK CALL made to SUNSAVE...On our return to UK I contacted SUNSAVE to get our money back for at least the Telephone calls incurred.. They said they would telephone me back..after 10 days I contacted them again and they stated they had listened to the original bookig call in OCT 2009 and the TERM REQUESTED meant JUST THAT. and they could not have Guarenteed me the ROOM I THOUGHT I HAD RESERVED WITH THEM..IT DOES STATE ON MY BOOKING FORM THAT A REQEST HAS BEEN MADE...Should they legally and morally have taken the money for this booking when they SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THIS BOOKING WAS IMPOSSIBLE AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. SURELY THEY MUST HAVE CONTACT WITH THE HOTEL BEFORE and could not possibly have given me what I asked for.. I WOULD HAVE BOOKED ANOTHER HOTEL HAD THEY BEEN HONEST WITH ME. I have retained all receipts and booking forms and REPS COMMENTS IN WRITING. ...Mr L.Coote

“I will not book through these people again, I will use...”

I will not book through these people again, I will use a travel agent in town - I can at least see what I am getting then.

Hotel I'd originally seen on the internet was "not available anymore" They found another hotel nearly £200 pound more? I asked them to confirm the pool was in the same hotel and not across the road as my mother is 80 and they confirmed it was. It wasn't it was across the road on the 6th floor.
