“Just returned from trip to Euro Disney with two...”

★★★★☆

written by on 02/03/2010

Just returned from trip to Euro Disney with two children aged 7 and 8, we thought the hotel Sequoia Lodge was very nice, we had a room in one of the lodges, by choice as we were advised at reception it was quieter than the main hotel, the room was very clean, maid service every day with clean towels etc. Lots of hot water, and excellent heating/ air.con. Our room overlooked the lake and the smell of the pine trees were all around the hotel. The kids loved the pool and were in it every day when we got back from the park. None of the lodges were more than 10 mins walk from the park, and a very efficient, free shuttle bus was available till late at night. Food at breakfast was mainly cold, but for an extra charge you could have a cooked breakfast, everyone took rolls from the buffet, and drinks for lunch. My only criticism would be the prices in the bar and restaurants which were exorbitant, but there were plenty of places to eat away from the hotel. Everwhere in the actual resort was also very expensive, so be warned take double the money you were budgeting for!!

“Hi we went to Disney for 5 days and in a party of...”

Hi we went to Disney for 5 days and in a party of 15....10 adults 5 children. we got upgraded to
montana rooms which for our own family of 4 with 2 kids of 4 and 1 it was a good spacious room that could easily fit in a cot and plenty of storage. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily..it had a hairdryer though it was very weak!..not sure if standard rooms have this. We generally had breakfast around 9am which was very busy though we were usually seated within 10mins of waiting. They usually ask you if one day you want to have breakfast in the park..this is worth doing and was less busy.
The park is very expensive.....2.50 euros is the cheapist drink. For a hotdog/crisps/drink as a snack is about 8 euros. Our tip is that at breakfast they have lovely small baguettes with ham/cheese/chicken etc. we used to make up sandwiches each breakfast time. and I think everyone was doing the same!..we also filled our bottles with juice aswell before we headed out! if you have a baby you can get milk at the bar to fill a bottle..they never charged us.
We had our main meal of a night...disney village has lots of restaurants...though be expected to pay about 18-25 euros for a adult meals....kids 5-13 euros...again our tip as we had a car was to travel to the "val de europe mall "(about a 5 min drive if that and dead easy)..lots of restaurants here. We went to an italian and spent 10 euros per adult for a main big meal and a drink. We also went to a chinese on the main street here and had a good 3 course meal for 15 euros each.
As a treat we went to cafe mickey in disney village...expensive but well worth it!...the characters come out and walk round all the tables all night so you can get plenty of up close pictures and get them to sign any autographs for the kids!they also at intervals start to play music and everyone pretty much gets up dancing with the characters!
the parks themselves are really good...obv get used to queing!make use of the fastpasses though!...would recommend the lilo and stitch/stunt show/animagic/parade shows for kids.

“Stayed in a lodge at Disney's Sequoia Lodge away from...”

written by on 20/01/2009

Stayed in a lodge at Disney's Sequoia Lodge away from the hotel but booked to stay in Sequoia main hotel because its only a 10 minute walk to the park. If you get put in one of their extra lodges, your room backs onto the motorway and it takes 45 minutes to an hour to walk to the park. Room not very clean and smelt of something not very pleasant.
The staff rude throughout the stay (this is our 5th visit, never any problems before) and will not under any circumstances be returning, will take our custom elsewhere. Park very poor condition in places, lots of rides closed which was not put on their website. Very expensive.
