Huge Discounts Available From Overpriced List...ok

Huge discounts available from overpriced list...ok thats good.

Well equipped although disapointed to find much lauded stereo does not perform anywhere near the system in my 04 vw passat estate nor does it have a multi load cd,however the radio and telephone system is brilliant. The phone works clearly and is a real plus point for me.

However the car lets itself down on performance as its barely adaquate and I would not opt for the 2litre again. Maybe its better without the Ford Selectashift Automatic transmission my car has? The auto box generally works very well although it can sometimes pause when you stab the throttle at a junction in order to make a nippy getaway.

My biggest gripe is the thirsty fuel consumption...the Ford literature says a day to day average is around 45mpg..what a load of tosh! Mine is averaging 33mpg with a good mix of local and long runs. Even keeping to 60mph on a run doesnt greatly improve things.I expected to see around 40mpg average. My Tdi VW Passat Estate returned close to 50 mpg and at worst over 40. I felt the more modern Ford technology would offset the extra weight of the Galaxy.

I dont feel that Ford Engine is anything like as good as the 2.0 VW unit of some 8years ago. I am dissapointed with the car because of this,so my advice is to try the more powerful versions before parting with your money! Get a decent test drive of at least 20 miles and zero the computer average mpg before you set off, ideally get a loan car over a couple of days so you can live with the car in your day to day life first. If I had done this I wouldnt have purchased this particular model the Titanium 2.0Dci auto.
