I've been using SmugMug for 5 years now and I've been paying for the service from the start. I've used all of the other major photo hosting/sharing services, i.e., flickr, etc. Nothing compares, in my opinion, to what you get with SmugMug. Their templates and ease of configuration, customization are the highest quality available for this type of service. They have several tools for uploading files, all of which I've tried and all work as advertised. I get so many compliments on the appearance of my photo albums hosted on SmugMug that I've lost count! The best feature is their outstanding customer support. If you contact them with a problem, you can be assured of a prompt response from very knowledgable and friendly people. Overall, SmugMug is the best by a wide margine.

there are better services out there

I have been a user of www.smugmug.com for a while now. I am a professional photographer and I love it. I use it to sell my photos to clients, as well as a way to share my photos with my friends and family. The way the site works is amazing, scaling based on the size of the monitor you are working on.

They allow video hosting, photo hosting and sharing, and reselling of your photos if you use the professional level.

I would recommend in a heart beat.
