Zanussi Built Integrated Microwave Service Dreadful
Had a new kitchen fitted in august 2011 with integrated appliances. Two weeks ago my microwave refused to work! Being only 7 months old I rang the company dealing with the guarantee conditions, an engineer came out, couldn't fix and took away microwave assuring me that I would receive a call from their office in a couple of days advising what was wrong and when the microwave would be returned. No such call was received and after a week I decided to ring myself. Advised that the microwave needed new parts albeit only 7 months old and that once again I would be advised as to when it would be returned. 3 days later I was advised the microwave would be back in my kitchen on Monday 12th am. On Monday the 12th I received a call to say that the engineer would not be returning my microwave. Upon asking why, I was told that someone in the office had forgotten to book the call out! Zanussi please change the company dealing with your service contract!!! I only hope that the microwave works when it eventually arrives back in my kitchen.

Parts May Change During The Manufacturing Process
Three months after purchase a Zanussi fridge it failed to stay cold, engineer changed the door seal and condenser. No problems after but door seal looked bad having been left switched off for two years in an empty house. Ordered a new one direct from Zanussi/Electrolux, when it arrived instructions said cut away soft section of original door seal leaving hard section, fit new seal into hard section, my door seal had no hard section. Had to email for advice as no tel. no, was informed I had correct part for model and told to phone engineer, as soon as I described the original seal to him I was informed that the type may have been changed mid manufacture or changed during the repair by THEIR engineer, either way they couldn't replace it, as it was within the 16 days I could return for a refund. More than two weeks later after sending special delivery, no refund, no answer to any e-mails, no answer to complaint through pay-pal, and yes they received and signed for the return. I'm left with a fridge that no longer works having removed the door seal, spent over £65.00 on new seal + extra sending it back, money which I could have used towards the new fridge I 've had to buy. WILL NEVER use this company again.
