After saving up for a while, I ordered a Laura Ashley Kingston 3 seater sofa and snuggler. Then I read the reviews and panicked that I had parted with over two thousand pounds and would end up getting something wrong, late, broken etc. The sofas arrived spot on within the 6-8 week window with them calling prior to pick a suitable date. They arrived well packaged which enabled us to decorate around them before unpacking. I love these sofas, perfect balance of beautiful and practical, really comfy with the combination filling (not just foam). Just wanted to leave a review that balances the playing field a bit for anyone that may be in the same position as I was in, worrying needlessly from seeing nothing but negative reviews.

I worked for Laura Ashley in the call center for over 3 years, As ALL company's, there are issues and problems. Theses problems will always happen. However, i have seen some posts on here that i recognise from complaints i have dealt with. What will always AMAZE me is that if you, as a human being, call another human being and are rude, nasty, sarcastic and aggressive, you expect that person to bend over backwards to help you?? The people in the complaints department are a nice lot of people but we have to work within company rules. ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE be fair be polite and firm. I have and i admit, left people on hold longer then need be just to calm down after the abuse i had taken on the phone.

I have recently bought a sofa for my living room from Laura Ashley and can honestly say the service I received was great from start to finish. Sofa was delivered on the time and day we had originally agreed, two very nice gentleman were very happy to place the sofa in my living room. All in all I can recommend Laura Ashley to anyone, I'm not sure why they have so many bad reviews on this site??? I have no complaints at all. Emma M

Ordered ready made curtains on the strength of my measuring, but when we had our curtain track fitter round he said my measurements were out. I was very worried and stressed thinking it would be impossible to change them, as we had ordered them a few days before. Contacted Customer Service who were friendly and very helpful and said it wouldn't be a problem 'shock & relief'. Was worried after what i had read on here about their staff. We had a couple of phone calls back & forth confirming the details and that the manufacturers had the new measurements. We did ask them to email and confirm our request so we had something in writing, but they didn't do this, so we had to rely on a verbal confirmation and keep our fingers crossed. Also they didn't charge us the extra costs for the new measurements (as the curtains were now bigger than before) which was also good of them. Curtains arrived 3 weeks before they were due. All sizes were correct so customer services did do their job 'hooray'. My only complaint would be that they were in a box folded over quite a few times so they were not 'ready to hang' as quoted as they all needed pressing. Pleased with the overall quality and fabric, and happy that customer services were efficient and helpful due to my mistake. I would use again.

I have been buying from Laura Ashley since I moved into my home 3 years ago. Initially I used the store, but then would look at the items I liked in the store and then order on line. I have never had a problem either way and my Kingston sofas purchased 3 years ago still are as plump and comfortable as the day I received them. I have purchased several pieces of furniture and also five sets of curtains on line using my own measurements and these were a perfect fit and well made. My only complaint is that I purchased two full length Gatsby mirrors around 2 years ago and had them fitted to the walls professionally as they are very heavy. One is still in place, the other I noticed one day had slipped at one side, so I took it down and found that the wood baton containing the hanging hook had developed a two foot split and the hook was hanging precariously out of the wood. I contacted the Customer Service Department via email and sent them a photograph of the split wood, not to get a replacement or anything, but just to warn them that this could happen. It would be very dangerous if this heavy mirror were to fall from the wall. Customer Services replied saying they could not do anything as it was over two years since I had purchased the mirror. They obviously did not get the point that I was highlighting a potentially dangerous defect. I have repaired the mirror myself and it is back in place, but I will be keeping a close eye on both mirrors in the future. Also another small point for anyone considering the Henshaw range of furniture - the drawers are very difficult to pull out and push back in, but I have overcome this with a little bit of candle wax.

I ordered from Switzerland and they sorted out the tax and although the package arrived late many companies have problems at the Swiss border. It wasn't a 5 star service, I had to call up their accounts department about the tax returns, but they will do it for you.
