The Klipsch Rf3 Are The Best All Around Speakers Y
The Klipsch RF3 are the best all around speakers you can buy under a grand. They have a true, natural sound. The perfect balance of high mids and lows.

These Speakers Do Not Match Up Well With Low End R
These speakers do not match up well with low end receivers. Because of the horn, this set needs a mellow amp or tube amp to tame them. If paired up with something compatible on the front end these RF3's can and will sound quite nice.
If you have the money look to the RF7 or heritage line.

Overall the Klipsch RF3 speaker performs well, even at high levels. I've added an svs sub which helps.

I Am Still Using My Klipsch Rf3 Model Which I Am G
i am still using my Klipsch RF3 model which i am going to sell in a week time, and never go for horn speakers and especially klipcsh. I am moving towards B&W now.
How can your 0verall rating be a 3 when you gave the speakers a 6 for sound and 9 for value. Looks like the overall rating should have been a 7.5, or is my math that bad.

These Rf3 Speakers Fron Klipsch Were Quite An Up
These RF3 speakers fron Klipsch were quite an upgrade from the small bookshelf units that I had been listening to previously. They have a big and punchy sound, although at first they sounded a bit muddy to me (which had quite a lot to do with the positioning of the speakers, along with the speaker wire that I was using). Once I moved the speakers several feet out from the back wall and turned them slightly in toward each other, the sound improved rather dramatically.
Since these speakers are biwire capable, I decided to take full advantage of this feature and purchased a set of Monster Cable speaker wires designed specifically for the task at hand (after all, these speakers are wired internally with Monster Cable, so why not?). Once these wires were installed, presto! Clear sound and great imaging!
Overall I have been very happy with the sound of these speakers (particularly since the upgrade in speaker wire). At higher volumes the horn tweeters can be somewhat piercing (which might have something to do with the acoustics of the room), but not to the point of causing listener fatigue. At lower frequencies the bass tends to drop off some, although I feel that this could be corrected by introducing a subwoofer into the system (something that I am planning to do eventually).
All in all, I am very happy with my purchase of these speakers. I feel that they are a great value for the money and have enjoyed many hours of great sounding music.
This speaker really sucks. I tried it along with its big brothers, RF5 & RF7, and found that Klipsch loudspeakers were not good for music at all. They could never deliver clean and detailed sound and the base coming out from them is just unbearable.

I Have Had The Klipsch Rf3 Ii Speakers For A While
I have had the Klipsch RF3 II speakers for a while now, and I can say these are a great value. I also listened to polk audio, infinity, bose, paradigm, cerwin-vega, and a few others. The Klipsch were the best. They look awesome with the grills off, and they sound amazing.
The horn tweeter really pays off. These speakers need very little power to run. You get great performance with underpowerd amps. a 10W tubeamp should have these things jumpin' around! And for SS amp guys, (me) you still don't need a lot of power to run them.
Overall, I don't know why someone whouldn't want these! They are great speakers for music and movies, and they have a realistic sound you can't get with 100% direct radiating loudspeakers.
KLIPSCH, A LEDGEND IN SOUND!!!
Good review. However, the horn-tweeter can be fatiguing to some (me) when listening to high female voices or brass at moderate to loud levels even after a short time. Has adequate base punch but not very deep. My 2 cents, audition and judge for yourself. Paradigm and Infinity Alphas are good alternatives.
Good review very helpful
Appreciate the review and it was my last stop before purchasing the RF3II speakers, along with the center, surrounds and the sub! I pick them up tomorrow (along with a Yamaha 1300 to drive them).
