We Purchased The Cabrio Agi Wtw6200s Washer And Dr
We purchased the Cabrio Agi WTW6200S Washer and Dryer as a set on February 8, 2009 from an "appliance warehouse." After having read so many bad review on this washer, I panicked and almost cancelled the order. My husband told me that a lot of people complain, just for the sake of complaining and since we'd only seen about 10 or so negative ratings, we decided to go ahead with the purchase.
This machine is not like the older machines we are used to, which is probably some of the complaints. It has a different way of spinning and has a slight sound when beginning the cycle. But not much. I barely heard the washer running at all.
The lid is large and comes up to my cabinets, which is inconvient, but I just moved the laundry supplies over one cabinet and that solved the problem. You are supposed to dilute the fabric softener which is not a problem for me because I have a sink in my laundry room. If you don't, this may be an inconvience, or just dilute some of your softener ahead of time.
I have only done one load of wash in it at this time, it was jeans and I washed them on the casual cycle and that helped with not having the wrinkle problem that some have complained about and I did not over load the washer with them. My usual load for jeans is 5 pair at a time, otherwise, I don't care what washer you use, they will come out wrinkled and the dryer won't fix that problem.
All in all I really like this machine so far and it was certainly worth the price I paid for it. $499.00
I can't vouch yet for the "durability" nor the "service" because I haven't had the need to call for service and haven't had the machine long enough to determine durability.
This Has Been A Terrible Disappointment. I Wish I
This has been a terrible disappointment. I wish I could just put it out for the garbageman to pick up, but unfortunately I can't afford to do that. I may give it to my daughter who is at college since she doesn't have one and buy another one, even though I hate to do that to her. The lid is way too large. It covers my overhead cabinets and this is a new house. That's where I keep my detergent, bleach, etc. It says to dilute the fabric softener with water, yet you can't raise the lid and get the water from the washer like I could do with Maytag, you have to carry it in there from your kitchen. It barely covers the clothes with water, not enough to clean anything whether it is lightly soiled or heavy soiled. It shakes really bad. When it is finished the clothes are all tangled up and very wrinkled. You could never just hang something up to let it dry and wear it, even sweaters are really wrinkled.
