Squires Garden Centres

I have only been to the Squires in Twickenham but I must say it's my favourite garden centre in the local area.The staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant - and even if you interrupt them when they're doing something else they always help you without huffing and puffing The stock is pretty good too - I've got a tropical garden and their range of tropical plants is excellent. They also have a guarantee policy whereby if the plant dies in the first year (I think it is) they replace it - that's pretty good.They're not the cheapest, but I do think you get what you pay for at these sort of places.Having worked at a garden centre for a number of years I can definitely say that this one is very well run - evne down to the mailshots and special discounts / offers - its a slick, professional outfit

Having visited three different Squires Garden Centres in the area (Long Ditton, Twickenham and Hersham) I think that this family run enterprise has done wonders for my interest in plants. Some say that Squires Garden Centres are a little expensive but I generally like the whole experience and ambience of the ones I've been too. For someone who used to run away at the mere thought of gardening just five years ago or so, I now have a real passion for it which has been helped along by my trips to Squires! The stock is always first rate in my experience and they guarantee the shrubs which is excellent. So far so good that I haven't actually had to take anything back. Squires also sell all the accessories you could possibly want. What is also good is that you are able to browse among the plants and shrubs abd then if you fancy a quick sit down, the cafes are very good indeed!
