A beautiful car to drive with a average 40mpg out of the 3.2 powerplant however it is easily prone to rust around the wheel arches if driven in the winter months in England (salt). However I learned the hard way that in future it's always better to buy one that has an higher asking price say £2,500 or more with a Full jaguar service history along with the first 5 years undercarrage oil treatment from jaguar that should be stamped otherwise walk away! Avoid Bargain priced jags with partital service history or lost history otherwise you will find yourself with a £3000 plus bill just to pass your MOT and when Buying one make sure that the service book is stamped by Jaguar and not some reputable garage that service any car and yes I once was a jaguar mechnic and still made that mistake thinking I was getting a bargain of a non fully service booked history of £800 for a low miler 93,000, I still had to splash out £1100 in parts for repairs& self labour in order to pass the mot & it really helps to buy one with a full 12 months with no adviseries. The rust is another matter!
