The Dirt Devil Swivel Glide M086370 must be totally different from the MVP model. Check your Dirt Devil model number by looking on the back of the vacuum, all the way down at the bottom. It is stamped into the plastic and also has your warranty information.
I was another consumer who got duped into buying "bagless" vacuum sweepers and actually bought two before I wised up and went back to vacuum sweepers with bags. Bagless vacuums in my opinion are not "user friendly" as they appear in advertisements. Instead of a bag that you just replace when you want, bagless vacuums have 2, 3 or 4 filters that you have to continually monitor and clean. Everytime you use a bagless vacuum the filters are getting clogged. With my Dirt Devil, I change the bag whenever I think it may be getting partially full.
I bought the Dirt Devil at Walmart for about $50 and it works perfectly.
I dont have so much dust collecting around the house anymore. I just pull the Dirt Devil out, use it for a few minutes, then put it away.
I have never used the Dirt Devil MVP, but I assure you, you will like the Dirt Devil Swivel Glide M086370
