I was a little nervous making my first order from Akoma, as I was submitting a large order and taking a chance that the quality would be good. Submitted my order online on Monday, two weeks before Xmas ie a super-busy time. My package arrived Thursday, which is pretty good and the delivery had to be signed for, which is reassuring. I was super excited to open the package; containing several bottles of oil and a pillow pack of shea butter. The products were sealed into a sturdy plastic bag with packing pellets, within a large jiffy bag, so they had transitted very safely. An experienced natural therapist, I can vouch for the quality of the oils. One of the reasons I chose Akoma was the very good selection of more specialist plant oils that are 'en vogue' in natural skincare circles; such as raspberry seed, argan and pomegranate. It is useful to be able to purchase initially in small quantities - 60ml- so as to be able to trial without financial risk. I have witheld a star as there was no communication from Akoma to acknowledge my order or advise of delivery/dispatch- which is pretty standard for online shopping thses days. But I prefer to overlook and focus on the positives: great choice, high quality and fast service - what more does one want?

akoma rocks not only are they fair trade their products are so affordeble
They come in proppa packing unlike another company that gave me a kg jojoba butter in bakin paper like packs not nice very messy.
the shea butter is fantastic i like to whip mine to make it easier to apply
and add some of theese beautiful oils and its the best.
my baby had several rashes on her skin and i have tried everything noyhing but the shea did it BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE BOTTLES&JARS FOAM PUMPS ETC
i use it and the black soap for my baby and her skin never looked better

All praise is what I have to say about Akoma Fair Trade Unrefined Shea Butter . I only buy their coconut oil and it is so fantastic , a high grade quality fair trade, fairly priced coconut oil. This is company is very organised and responsible in dealing with their clients needs which is all highly commendable.

The Akoma Fair Trade Unrefined Shea Butter is lovely. Very creamy and rich. I use it in my hair and it loves it. It has softened its texture and stopped all breakage.I also use the cold pressed cocoa butter on my skin.A little really goes a long way and makes my skin feel silky smooth. I have always had very good service from akoma. My deliveries have all arrived within 1 week and they always responded to my emails and let you know when your order has been dispatched. I will definately be using them again. The aroma of the cold pressesd cocoa butter isn't what i would describe as chocolately as described on the site. It is very strong and takes some getting used to.

I found Akoma Fair Trade Unrefined Shea Butter in the USA after suffering a outbreak of psoriasis. was told only to use 100%african butter after about a week it was so much better. I now use it as a day and night cream and have noticed my wrinkles are softer. I am very happy very pleased will keep on with it I have been using it now for 6 weeks
