We have been to Fuerteventura many times before and had not actually stayed at this venue before. It was a Thomson Holiday Package, November into December, 2007. We stayed for two weeks.
We had previously had dinner at the hotel in 2006, and the food was of a high standard.
We like to self cater for ourselves, especially this time as the idea of our holiday was not to gain weight, but to exercise, diet, and lose weight!
There were no working surfaces in the apartment on which to prepare food. It had to be prepared either on the sink unit draining board or on occasional glass tables which were low down. There was just one small pan, a microwave oven that was functional, although it did not have a belt driven turntable so you had to keep stopping and turning the food contained manually, and minimal cutlery and crockery. No plastic microwave cooking utensils. The crockery was placed high in a small cupboard. The toaster was functional (we use our own travel kettle). There was a hob with two electric rings. No teatowels - had to use a handtowel out of the bathroom.
We coped quite well but if had had our two sons with us I would not have relished cooking for four people under these circumstances.
There were two huge king sized single beds pushed together practically filling the whole apartment. A smaller double bed would have made room for a dining table with a bit of planning on Elba's side.
Won't be staying here again on Fuerteventura, we find the nearby Club Barcello mini bungalows much more to our liking.
