I Havent Bought This, It Has Appeared On My Comput

I havent bought this, it has appeared on my computer telling me that there are 47 viruses and subscribe to clear. I have Mcaffee running that tells me that the computer is clean. I cannot remove this program as everytime i try to click on an EXE file it tells me that there is a virus infecting the file. I cannot access control panel to remove the program for the same reason. It has screwed my computer up, I didn't ask for it, I don't want it and I can't get rid of it! next stop hard drive format, thanks for nothing...steer clear.

I Had Very Bad Experience In A Company Of Shield P

I had very bad experience in a company of Shield Pro. My computer crashed soon after discovering "invador" (trojan) and I took action to remove from my system immediatly. But on second instance got file corrupt in win sys32 folder.Lost hard drive and all on it. Had to be re-written to factory settings. Luckily, I had very up to date backup. I used Shield Pro for few months prior to this. Aside from asist to bring my computer to the end it made my computer very slow. It took forever to start when swiched on downloads, updates and scaning as set.If I new anty of this beforehand it would not feature in my life. I noticed similar review like mine on this review site. No isolated incident after all! Please conder better option for yourself.

PCSecurityShield Anti-virus software review. -Feel cheated!

The website advertised the software at $19:99 with a temporary special offer cutting the price to $9.99. This seemed a good deal and I decided to purchase the software.

At every stage of the marketing and purchase of their Spy ware the product was advertised at $9.99, only at he bottom of the very last page does it mention a 'rebate.'This is easy to miss and clearly intended to be confused with the 'half-price' offer anyway. I have attached the final two pages of the payment process.

It now transpires that they have charged me $39.99 and I have write to the US to receive a $30 rebate in several months time. Even if I went to all this trouble and they actually did send the 'rebate' (which I doubt) it would be of little value to me. I recently deposited a cheque for $20 from an American bank into my account and was advised that after foreign exchange and other charges I would get 'very little back' by the cashier.

Have contacted the company several times to complain but they cut me off each time.

I Agree With The Comments Made In The Post By Rbrw

I agree with the comments made in the post by rbrwb on 9th Apr 2009. An additional problem I had with Security Shield 2008 was the update would indicate the Update Files are corrupted. If you do not stop the updates manually it will cause the database to corrupt. It took quite a bit of time to figure out I had to rollback to the last good database. There are no indicators. Got the same responses from Support

I have Security Shield 2009. I would not repurchase or upgrade this software.

Prior To Purchasing The Software, I Got A Virus, A

Prior to purchasing the software, I got a virus, and I purchased "The Shield Deluxe 2009" as I had heard a few good things about the software. I heard ' great product and great customer support. 'It could not remove the virus from the system, as there was always a few items it could not perform any action against. I found this strange since I had heard good things about the program. The items it could not remove were always ".DLL" files, and I was not able to physically locate them on my computer anywhere. Anyways, I ended up backing up all my documents on an external hard drive, reformatting my computer, reinstalling everything, and now I am trying to transfer my documents back. I ran a virus scan on the external hard drive, and it still could not remove 6 items. The items were all archived items, and it said it could not perform any action against them. I wanted to be able to transfer my documents back to my computer, but I did not want to put my system at risk. So I tried to contact Customer Support.You can only email or IM them, not call them, which I was not aware of. They recommended that I contact the live chat service which I did 2 separate times. The chat room was not a human; it was a computer talking to me, which was frustrating because they did not really address my needs. I was told to run an application they sent me, generate a system report, and send an email to them with the report. I tried this, and received an error when trying to send them the file. They started to send me automated messages that said the same thing as before: ' Send system report ', or ' Please visit the online chat line ', but they would never tell me how to fix the problem. Also when I would send them the issue, they would respond a send me an ' Issue closed ' email when the issue was obviously not closed! I tried sending the system report via multiple email addresses with no luck. I finally figured out a loophole to send the message with no help from them, and asked for their help. I asked for a resolution within a couple days as I had already been waiting a month and a half for a resolution and they did not respond for another week. When they finally responded, they sent me another automated message that said to go and talk to their Live Chat Service again!!! I ended up getting a different AntiVirus software, and it didn ' t detect any virus ' s and I transferred all my files, and everything has been working properly since the first day!!! This is one of the worst customer support experiences I have ever received, and I cannot believe I read a good review about them. I have paid for this software, and have never been able to use it successfully. 7 emails, 4 chat sessions, and 1 computer reformat later, the issue still has not been addressed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR PRODUCT!!!! I AM WARNING YOU!!!!!

I Found The Security Shield 2008 Slowed Down My Co

I found the Security Shield 2008 slowed down my computer a lot! I felt the customer service was lousy. Every time I tried to download to my laptop, the download would timeout. When I emailed for help, they told me to use live chat. Live chat started to help and then I found they just ignored me. Still have an unprotected computer. Not sure why I'm paying for protection I don't have!

Security Shield 2008 Is Easy To Install, Does Not

Security Shield 2008 is easy to install, does not appear to affect computer performance. Overall I wanted to try something different.Once set up, I like it. But if I continue to have problems with the downloads, I will get rid of it. If during the virus update, there is a problem, it can cause the virus list to be corrupted. Rolling it back sometimes works, sometimes does not. Currently I have been waiting 6 days for the download updates to work correctly. I approached their service department 3 times via email and have not received a response other than the automated first response. I have threatened to cancel payment with the credit card company. I hope I do not have to do this.

As I Didnt Get Much Time To Have A Functioning Com

As I didnt get much time to have a functioning computer I cant give this a good review as all problems were related to this program

Before I get flamed:

After installing updates, it slowed the computer to hell, checked ram speeds only using 68mb of ram, soon discovered a virus called "invader" (trojan virus that spreads to network and starts in sys32 folder)

After un-installing and sorting the problem, gave it another shot and same result happened.

Therefore I do not recommend Security Shield 2008.
