We Are Busy People And So Tend To Take Short Break

We are busy people and so tend to take short breaks in good hotels. I can commend every aspect of this hotel including its decor, the river views, the facilities, the quality of the food, and the exceptional service. We dined in the Riverside Restaurant each evening and the food was varied, seasonal, used local produce, and prepared to a very high standard. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of Dartmouth and yet it has convenient parking and is close to the Higher Ferry and the Totnes road out of town.

As A Busy Person I Rarely Have The Time To Get Awa

As a busy person I rarely have the time to get away just for the weekend. More so, I rarely have the chance to write a quick review. However on this occasion I have made time to quickly speak about my fantastic experience at the Dart Marina hotel in Dartmouth. Eating my dinner overlooking the Marina was exceptional. The quality of the food was extremely high with a variety of seasonal dishes on offer. Again the wine selection was very good which enabled me to relax all through the evening while listen to a local band. The service we received was top class, with my every need catered for quickly and with no hesitation. My room, which I shared with my wife, was extremely spacious and well styled. We also had a balcony which overlooked the marina and provided us with lovely fresh air early in the morning. The room was stacked with facilities and little extras. The hotel also has great facilities which include a spa and activity days. We took their red roadster out for a spin on one day which was a phenomenal experience and in the evening we would relax in the spa pools. All the experiences where top class, hassle free and enjoyable. Basically, the whole atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and 5 star. It was a perfect location for a weekend break where the top class facilities complemented the quality food and professional service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

This Hotel Is In A Great Location, On The Banks Of

This Hotel is in a great location, on the banks of the River Dart and has its own marina. It ' s only a short stroll to the hustle and bustle of the town centre shops. If you like watching the boats and busy waterside activity, you ' ll just love this place. In truth, I enjoyed my stay from the very moment I checked-in. First impressions count and being offered a complimentary drink and upgraded to a 'luxury 'room was a really good start. Pleased with the view and my complimentary gift bag of fudge, the rest of the hotel offered more in terms of Spa facilities and a range of treatments, a gym, treatment rooms, a swimming pool and jacuzzi, steam room.I ate in the hotel ' s bistro and chose from a menu of fresh locally sourced ingredients. The bread rolls were memorable and tasted completely delicious - all home made by the talented chef. I had breakfast in my room next day: all well cooked, hot and served with equal care and attention.

A Truly Exceptional Hotel Experience I Have

A truly exceptional hotel experience

I have just returned from my stay at The Dart Marina Hotel & Spa, a stunning place with its own marina, situated in the truly beautiful location of Dartmouth. I've had such a lovely stay with them from 'check-in' to 'check-out' that I felt compelled to write a review and share my experience.

When I arrived, I was delighted to be offered a complimentary drink and happier still that they had extra availability and were upgrading me to a 'luxury' room. I just love it when that happens. My room was spacious, exceptionally clean, with fresh flowers in the vase by the windows that looked out over the River Dart and the amazingly beautiful Devon landscape. I soon found the binoculars supplied in the room to take in the amazing view and a complimentary gift bag of delicious fudge, which all made for a setting that was impressive, comfortably contemporary, and welcoming. The bathroom again was spotless and the shower delivered a powerfully invigorating flow of water.

The Spa facilities and treatments available were pretty comprehensive with a gym, treatment rooms, a grooming room, relaxation area, jacuzzi, steam room and a swimming pool that cleverly generated a flow of water current to swim against, allowing you to achieve a good 'workout' in a relatively moderate sized pool area. I loved the pool, but unfortunately didn't have enough time to sample the menu of treatments.

I didn't opt to eat in the main restaurant, though the menu did look tempting. Instead I met with friends in the hotel's informal bistro called 'Wildfire' and again it was the little things that made all the difference to the evening. As I walked towards the bistro, dramatically lit outside by flaming torches, the busy staff inside discretely spotted my approach and before I knew it, they were opening the door and warmly welcoming me in. With a talented menu of fresh local sourced ingredients to choose from, I can recommend the local caught Sea Bass. Even the bread rolls were outstanding - absolutely delicious and all homemade by the resident chef. We all commented and agreed on how good the food had been. We couldn't resist having an expertly mixed cocktail. You know when they're good because they have that sublime balance of being deceptively potent, but tasting a lot more innocent than the ingredients in your glass. Smiles all round our table before we left the Bistro and a memorable evening in a fabulous setting. I decided to have breakfast in my room next day. Carefully prepared, perfectly cooked and all delivered to my door piping hot and on time. I would definitely recommend the Dart Marina Hotel & Spa.

Whilst the setting was truly outstanding, and the quality levels throughout the hotel were all very high, it was most definitely the people, the service and the uncompromising attention to detail that made this place really stand out from all of the rest. I'll definitely be back!!
