Girls Aloud, Tangled Up is pretty good, but new fans should check out Chemistry or What Will The Neighbours Say? first.

Girls Aloud's album Tangled Up opens with the mid-tempo Call The Shots which is amazing and sees Nicola on a sparkling middle-8 which gives her a chance to shine. Close To Love is the next track which is the total opposite, fast club banger with an even share of vocals, and "we're gonna need more wood!".

Up next is Sexy! No, No, No... which has vocoder, ad libs and is sexy sexy hell yeah! Fantastic, banging tune leads into Girl Overboard which is another super song with a fast beat. Sarah and Nicola's middle-8 shimmers over the top of just about nothingness when the music stops for the slow verse, magical.

Mid-tempo is next with Cant Speak French which is a great song, nice beat and "let the funky music do the talking, talking now". Black Jacks comes up next and is a song which starts rather slowly but don't be fooled, its not a ballad. It is a Nadine, Cheryl and Sarah song with Nadine on leads - no surprise. Quite nice but nothing as special as Close To Love.

The vocoder makes a re-appearance in this song and its quite an up-tempo dancey song with a good range of vocals, not fantastic but a good album track. Fling is Graffiti My Soul part 2, its great, fast, slow, shouty, singing - anything you could want with a pop song. Its fantastic - will be a corker on their 2008 tour.

What You Crying For makes you think of a slower song with that title but oh no, a long chorus which keeps appearing and its a great tune. I'm Falling is a girls aloud attempt at a different style and they pull it off quite well, the regular screech, high pitched singing and rather loud and crazy - sounds like any other Girls Aloud hit!

Damn has Nadine on the chorus but fills the album nicely, another mid-tempo song and a nice array of vocals too, still no sign of a ballad - and as already said - no covers! Finally comes Crocodile Tears which yet again screams ballad and with lines such as "stupid cupid" thats what you imagine, but no. Its no slushy Whole Lotta History or See The Day, more in line with Life Got Cold, slower but not classed as a ballad. It finishes the album nicely and is the only track without Nadine on a verse although she takes leads on the chorus.

What a great album and you never want to skip a track, its fantastic! Buy it, you know you want to!
