Football manager 08 is a genuinely terrific game for the resident football fanatic. The detail levels of this new installment are every football fans dream. It must also be said that this game is highly addictive and very frustrating especially when that off-side decision cost you the game! All in all football manger 08 is the definitive companion to any armchair footie nut. A must!

Id never played a manager sim on PC before until last week. I always played LMA on PS2 and thought that was great. This is on another planet and so addictive for me as the first day I got it I played for 10 hours and played 2 games. So much more than just buying players and watching games. You can even get in your own backroom from thousands of real coaches. I only play manager and sports games and I really cant believe Iv waited this long. to think I only bought it on impulse because I was bored Id never heard of it before.

Well recommend Football Manager 2008.
For me the good points are...
- How many players and teams are in the game.
- How you get to manager little teams and when sacked or resign from a club you can join another one
Bad points in my opinion -
Watching the games as it is just dot.
When it asks you what to you think about the goal being disallowed when you cant tell as it is just dots again.

I loved Football Manager 2008 and still do. Luckily you do not need a super computer to play it at a good speed either. I do advise playing this game with some music on as I think the game does lack in the sound department but nevertheless a very good buy.

A good tip for instant success when running a league.Take over a smaller club i.e Droylsden and then as a second player take over at say Chelsea. You can then offer huge amounts of Chelsea's transfer budget for an unwanted Droylsden reserve player. Then when the transfer goes through simply retire from Chelsea and focus on taking your small team through the divisions bankrolled by Romans millions.Repeat this process as and when necessary to top up funds. Not that I ever use this method you understand!
