Sent a hamper to my son when he wasn't well, he couldn't answer the door but the delivery person didn't leave it with the neighbour. Smart Gift will not give a refund and are refusing to send it to our home address. They say they sent an update but they didn't. Avoid at all costs!

Admittedly, they have a good range of products on their website, which all looks professional. I chose a hamper and selected 48hr delivery. Paid my money and waited....... I got a delivery update and tracking details soon afterwards. Delivery day came and went; nothing arrived. Bearing in mind that this was a gift for a specific event, I was a bit annoyed. After a lot of chasing on my part, and feeble excuses on their part (the person I communicated with should consider a career in writing fiction), my order arrived almost two weeks later. To be fair, it was a nice hamper and the recipient was pleased however, once they have your money, they are not interested. I had to do all the chasing, and met with indifference at every stage. I really wish that I had checked their reviews before placing my order. They seem to be hit and miss, having some good reviews, and an equal amount of poor reviews, sighting late delivery, lost items, poor address labels, failing to provide refunds, rudeness from staff, etc. Part of the problem in my case stemmed from poor labelling on the package. Jeez, buy yourselves a decent printer! Train staff in better customer service and learn from your mistakes. Online gift providers are ten-a-penny, and you really need to up your game if you genuinely want to improve your business. Otherwise, continue operating and eventually go under. Good riddance. They certainly won't be getting any repeat business from me, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Paid in full for a next day delivery gift. It was not delivered in time and hasn’t been delivered at all!! 6 days have passed and they have not called or resolved the matter and have not refunded me at all. They do not allow telephonic contact and hid behind a screen! I would stay well away from them.

Terrible!!! I paid extra to have a basic personalised wine sent to a friend for her birthday during lockdown. I spent approx $80 all up! It was supposed to say ‘happy birthday’ instead it said ‘thank you all so much for having me’ I have been back and forth with emails for over a month. Their delivery service is terrible, no cards left and when calling they have no idea where the parcel is. I then email smart gift solutions for them to just say it was returned. Why not notify me? THEN even though it was 100% their mistake they asked me to pay for redelivery!!! I even offered to pay for redelivery and now they’re ignoring my emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

It is a simply waste of time to use smartgiftsolutions! This site should not exist anymore! I have placed a birthday gift order on the 9th with the wish to be delivered on the 15th. Well, the 15th passed and there was no gift delivered, no phone, nothing. When I contacted smartgiftsolutions I got a reply by writing that the order was damaged by the driver and it was decided to be returned to source (sic!). I wonder if I would have not contected smartgiftsolutions, probably they would just forget about it. So be aware! I recognize that this is my solely fault since I have not read the reviews about this place. After reading on four reviews sites, it appears that many customers complained about bad experience. However, the order is not yet delivered, it is expected by the end of today. Coming back: the order has still not been delivered as promised. Never use this place for anything!

I ordered a big parcel from Smart Gift. solutions for My Granddaughter who was in hospital, she eventually received her parcel 5 days late and this was after I phoned Parcelforce myself to sort out the delivery problems. I spent a whole morning calling both their phone lines which were constantly engaged. I emailed and left 3 voice messages asking them to call me as Parcelforce tracking was showing the parcel was unable to be delivered due to insufficient address. They never called me back! I phoned Parcelforce and they told me that no name or ward no had been put on the parcel, whilst they deny this they also never contacted me to sort this out. I had paid for next day delivery but this company will not even refund my delivery charge. I had put her name and ward no when I booked the parcel! So the error was theirs or Parcelforce not mine but despite 3 emails to them they will not refund my delivery charge. Had they called me on day one this could have been resolved. I eventually had to have to parcel rerouted to my Granddaughters home address as she had left hospital over the weekend. The ONLY reason this parcel ever got delivered was because I dealt directly with Parcelforce myself! The products seem good but I would never order from this company again because you can't talk to someone to resolve issues, very sad!

I have been asked to leave a review by Smart Gift Solutions I was a bit dubious making an order on this website but happy that I did. I wanted to order from a gifting company to send to my family in Hailsham UK. I ordered two hampers which arrived next day all with excellent feedback. So I ordered more biscuit hampers again arrived next day all perfect and looking christmassy with cellophane and ribbons. I was reassured by being able to communicate effectively and track my order so I highly recommend this smart business.

Received a good experience from Smart Gift Solutions - ordered a fruit basket to a hospital which arrived promptly the next morning. I was advised to contact the hospital to chase it up but it had already reached my Nan! It cheered her up and was just want she needed so thank you very much, I'm more than pleased to write a review for you.

A while back I ordered a Personalised Birthday Wine and Chocolate Hamper and other goodies from Smart Gift Solutions for my husband's special 40th birthday. I left more than two weeks leeway for it to arrive, as I didn't want to leave such important gifts until the last minute in case there was a delivery issue. As the other reviewers here on Review Centre and elsewhere have commented, I didn't receive my order! I was left chasing up for weeks to first try to get the order and then to get a refund. The customer service is beyond atrocious. Nobody answers emails or picks up the phone. I only managed to get through on the phone once, after trying repeatedly for weeks. As many many other people are saying, the lady -- who I shall not name out of respect, but I know is the Manager -- is extremely rude, arrogant and impolite. She is full of herself and is one of those people who simply does not have the ability to listen to anything that is contrary to her world view. She wouldn't even let me speak and started shouting at me. She slammed the phone down on me and I was crying after the phone call. I wholeheartedly agree with the other commentators who say she needs to learn how to treat other people. I have never been treated so badly by any online retailer. I will certainly never order from Smart Gift Solutions again. Don't order from this bunch of amateurs. As another review here has stated, they provide a “Fawlty Towers-style Customer Service”.

We have used this company for the last couple of years and they were fab, quick delivery and no problems. However, we ordered a hamper at the end of Nov as a Christmas present, they delivered it on 30th Nov but we hadn't opened the box until Christmas Eve knowing we had no issues with this particular company in the past. They delivered us the wrong hamper, completely different items to what we had ordered and it certainly wasn't worth the same amount as what we paid for ours. They close for Christmas and New Year so we were unable to contact them by phone before Christmas day to rectify the problem. I emailed them on Boxing Day so they would see my email on their return, simply requesting for the hamper we ordered to be redelivered as we had received someone elses. We kept the hamper packaged in case they wanted us to return it. The emails sent back to me were blaming us as the customer for not answering their phone calls and emails. Apparently they had tried to call and email us to get our hamper redelivered to us from the person who had received it in error. However, NO emails were sent to us and we received NO phone calls or voicemail's. They clearly have lied about this, just like the other people on here who have complained of the same thing have also been lied to. The woman I was speaking with I'm assuming is the Manager. She has extremely bad customer service skills and I recommend she send herself on a course to improve the way she deals with customer queries and complaints. She is vile to communicate with and took absolutely no responsibility for the error they made, blaming us constantly for not returning their calls (which they lied about anyway). The bottom line is that the hamper should not have been incorrect in the first place. The hamper which was delivered was not personalised obviously because it was someone elses personalised hamper. She said she assumed we wanted to keep the hamper as they were apparently 'virtually the same items and virtually the same cost' which THEY WERE NOT. So instead of having the hamper redelivered to us (knowing already and admitting they had messed up our order) they had it sent back to the company. I can't believe that someone would assume we would want to keep a hamper which we hadn't ordered or personalised ourselves, it's actually unbelievable someone could be so stupid to think that. So, to summarise, they lied to us about sending emails and calling us. They blamed us for supposedly ignoring their calls and emails even though they didn't actually call or email us. They have extremely bad customer service skills, rude and extremely unhelpful. They have now refused to give us a refund for the hamper we never received or give us a replacement of the order we originally put through. The hamper which was delivered to us is now ruined as it had perishable items in it (the order we made didn't have perishable items in it). I won't be wasting any more time trying to communicate with them. I am now in the process of taking them to the claims court so I am looking forward to receiving my money back. I will never use this company again, I strongly advise anyone to avoid ordering through this company. Extremely disappointed.

Shopping with Smartgiftsolutions.co.uk has been the worst consumer experience of my life and I can’t warn people against this company strongly enough. I’m now £65 out of pocket having had a load of stress and hassle at the hands of a woman I can only assume has trained at the Fawlty Towers School of Customer Services. On 15th November I ordered and paid for a hamper to be sent as a Christmas gift to a relative in Spain. On 20th December I was alarmed to find out it had not arrived. My intended recipient was due to leave the country within two days. I immediately contacted the seller to complain; she was instantly hostile, completely unhelpful and unapologetic. Essentially she told me that it was my problem and the recipient would have to deal with it. She appeared to have no idea where the hamper was and I didn’t even know whether the hamper would arrive at all by this stage, so due to the seller’s attitude, I opened a dispute on PayPal, determined not to pay for goods that had not been received. The seller then began bullying me via email, threatening me with small claims court and making snide personal insults about me being too lazy to sort the problem out myself and making me out to be money-grabbing for not wanting to pay for the goods that had still not arrived. I politely asked her to keep her emails professional and suggested that we wait until the hamper arrived and then review the situation with a view to resolving the dispute more amicably on both sides. At this point she labelled my email as SPAM and BLOCKED me from all further contact!!! Such was the level of the woman’s professionalism. Tracking information, when finally provided, ultimately showed that despite my placing the order and paying in full on 15th November, the seller did not dispatch the item until nearly a month later on 9th December, using only the ordinary ‘snail mail’ postage service despite it being the busiest time of the year. Basically, it had absolutely no chance of arriving in Spain in time to be used as the Christmas gift for which it was intended. Unfortunately the seller then told several lies in her statement to PayPal, including that she had provided me with tracking details before I contacted her on 20th and that an attempted delivery had already been made in Spain before 20th December (despite tracking information ultimately showing that the hamper did not arrive until 23rd December, by which time it was too late and my intended recipient had left the country). Consequently, and as I don’t wish to further inconvenience my relative by making him sort out the return postage of the hamper, I am now £65 out of pocket, having had to buy a replacement Christmas gift as well. I can’t advise people strongly enough to AVOID this company with its abysmal postage service and the most appalling customer service standards I have ever encountered outside of a sitcom. Save your money and your sanity and shop elsewhere!!!

Wow - it's just incredible that she is getting away with it. How PayPal could rule in her favour is beyond me. Customers whose transactions go well seem understandably satisfied but the many stories of things going wrong are just horrific, like you say, the worst I've heard from an online retailer. I just hope more and more people will get wise to her - or miracles will happen and she'll put some thought into developing her customer service skills!!!

Placed an order to celebrate 3rd anniversary. The order was not even for the next day, it was placed on the 25th Oct to be delivered on the 28th. I never got the confirmation e-mail with my order number. I tried to call on the available number and tried via chat as well. NOBODY answers. It seems a ghost company. The money was charged from my credit card and I'm still unable to talk to anybody in this company. What was suppose to be a celebration day, has become a disappointment day. I DO NOT recommend it. Tried to post the review in their website, but not even that appears. Sad!

As another review here has stated, Smart Gift Solutions provide a “Fawlty Towers-style Customer Service”.
The Manager needs to learn to treat customers with even an iota of respect.
I am with you... it's impossible to get hold of anyone at Smart Gift Solutions. I tried for weeks to no avail.

Gift bought for fathers day to be delivered to Germany to holidaying father. Website checkout said would be delivered next day. When we looked to see if it had been the item was awaiting customs clearance from the uk. We called on monday and were basically called stupid to think it would be delivered that quickly. Very rude arrogant woman at the end of the phone. If we could cancel we would. Never use this company as they dont give a damn.

Same experience here. They were extremely rude. The Manager shouted at me down the phone and wouldn't even hear me about my order which hadn't arrived. She made my cry.
The customer service is beyond atrocious. Nobody answers emails or picks up the phone.

As usual Smart Gift Solutions pulled out all the stops and delivered 234 beautiful Christmas Hampers within 2 days at short notice! I wouldn't use anybody else for our business and I love the fact they send a photo of the hamper for our approval before sending

Just to add to the above review - I contacted them via Instagram to ask what was going on as they responded to a different review saying that my gift was still there, they were just awaiting a response. They then blocked me on Instagram with no response at all. What horrible customer service!
