“Costly”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 30/09/2022

Bought this heater 3 winters ago. Laser 730... first winter was fine, last winter had to have service... nothing major. This year sitting here looking at it in several pieces because the blower motor went out! After 2 winters!! Repair man, plus parts is over $600.00. A third of what I paid for this junk!!

“America is in need of energy effeicent heating devices...”

America is in need of energy effeicent heating devices and this Toyotomi Toyo Laser 73 certainly qualifies as more efficient than most untill you factor in the prices for parts and the cost of labor to maintain these little 'nightmares'. I hope that some outfit in America decides to get in the game and make mine obsolete by building a better, more efficient, cheaper to maintain and more reliable unit.

I just installed a L-730 and when it first goes on and again in the cool down phase the unit makes a loud ting, ting, ting sound. Is that normal?

As the heater comes up to temperature, the metal expands and can create "tinking" sounds. Once up to temperature, the only sound you should hear is the fan.

For Toyotomi Heaters, go their website. This will show you where the model # is located. Determine your model and letter revision then click on "Vented Heaters" and a drop down box will appear. Select the appropriate Model / Letter Owners Manual. Download it and on the last page will be the copyright date. That is generally the actual manufactured date for that model / Letter revision.
