I have already wrote a one star review about HostPresto (Dream-hosting back then - they renamed themselves) here but HostPresto claimed it wrong and removed. I didn't bother to argue with HostPresto since I still was their client. I moved to a good reliable service now and almost forget about that horrible experience of being their client but the last email from them irritates me again. Email subj: "This is a notice that a recent credit card payment we attempted on the card we have registered for you failed." For god sake HostPresto! I did not ask you to charge my card! I did not set up any kinds of autopayments neither! I just want to forget about HostPresto service like about a nightmare. HostPresto service is irritating, intrusive rubbish! 1. 24/7 support is a lie. When I asked one while your 99.99% up time service lay down again, I got an answer in the next morning that 24/7 is only for more expensive options - not for me. Why? 24/7 for everyone is still written on your website. 2. Every time I address to HostPresto with my problems - HostPresto told me to upgrade. I was stupid and I did upgrade once with no results - it wasn't enough for HostPresto, I still needed to upgrade. Yes my website is big but it complied with HostPresto specifications which wrote you, not me. 3. 99.9% Uptime Guarantee is a lie - it isn't working in winter 2013-2014 for 30 minutes in about 11am every other week. We so get used to it that planned a coffee break for that time. The answer were the same - upgrade. Why me? You need to upgrade! There were several times we couldn't access even HostPresto website to submit a ticket. In March there were another failier then we couldn't access any your services for several hours and moved to a professionals. 4. When I asked to refund my money at least for forthcoming months I was told off. Soon after I got a message that they renamed themselves from Dream-hosting to HotPresto. We pay the same now and double our audience and we do not need to upgrade any more. I still keep all the service tickets and server logs and won't let you to remove this review. And please do not try to charge me again I'll sue you! HotPresto is complete rubbish! Lev Levin

left us offline for 24 hours and in that time did not reply once to the 4 tickets we opened asking for help. the replies we did get were unhelpful and the support is terrible. I would not recommend this mob to my worst enemy

I agree. Have two sites with dream-hosting, customer service never reply to anything. Cheap, yes. But this is a false economy in the long run.

My account with Dream-Hosting has been compromised twice and taken offline but twice has been put back within a day (although the second time, no replies were made to my ticket but they still re-activated my site). I'm hoping now they can tell me where the issues originate so I can eliminate them.

Your account was suspended as it had a functionality flaw, which was causing performance issues on the server. As is our standard practise the account is suspended immediately to avoid disruption of service to other users.
We worked with you and provided help, and gave you 4 chances to fix the issues over the course of a month, and this wasn't done. We were still happy to help you resolve the issues but it was your choice to cancel your account.

not so sir. the flaw was a DOS attack on our site, but we only found out about it when we took the site from your service and found a service where they could actually work WITH us and tell us what the problem was. DOS attacks, I am told, are very common nowadays and unless you can work with your customers to let them know what the problem is, as opposed to closing their websites down and doing nothing more, then you really dont deserve the business of customers who need to be able to rely on their ISP in any way what so ever. Is till have the emails back and forward and the information you actually gave us was Not a Damn Thing.

What type of hosting do you use and recommend?

We are using VPS now. I CAN recommend Hetzner or OVH. If they provide hosting, it should be also good. These guys are professionals.
