oh man! chicks adore this phone! I have had a dozen phones or so so far and this one is simply the "hit" The blues backlights r awesome. chicks dig that too. I broke the antenna on mine but I still had no problem using the phone..:). This is as far as it goes. It's a show-off phone. The menu is bad, the screen is too small. Too bad it does not have polyphonic r-tones.

There are obviously better phones out there, but you don't buy this phone solely for it's performance. This is quite simply the best looking phone on the market, a real head turner !!

I generally use my V70 for short necessary phone calls here and there. There are several features on this phone that I don't use like calendar, FM Radio (which requires a headset not included), and T-zones (which I may add later on). All and all I would say this phone is best suited for those who can sacrifice games, ringtones, downloadables, and care more about using the phone for its more intended purpose: making phone calls.

I've own a few mobile phones before - mainly Nokias, but this Motorola V70 quite simply outshines all the others purely on its design alone.
I wanted a phone which looks different from the other clam shells and bar soaps. I didn't buy it for its features, whether its got Bluetooth, or its got a digital camera built in. If I wanted a digital camera I buy a digital camera, and for the same price as the 'other' camera phones I could buy a far better digital camera. And as I don't own a laptop computer then there is no point in having Infra red or Bluetooth.
The only real down point is its texting. The predictive text doesn't work as well as Nokia's predictive text nor the T9 system. The other system will always put the first word on the message but this Motorola iTap system you have to select every word even if its the first one on the list.
The main feature I use this phone for is to make phone calls, and it does that very well.

The Motorola V70 has a nice looking rotate cover, good reception and is light weight. There is a bug on the phone. The 1st one I got home trying the call divert function - Click on "if busy" fucntion, the phone resets automatically.
I went back for exchange, the 2nd one works fine.

Just got the V70. For anyone interested in getting this phone, dont listen to the bad reviews. As far as the comments about all the keys you have to press to do anything, there is such things as "short cuts" which u set up and it takes 2 buttons to do anything. And for those people who say it takes forever to write/send a txt.......practise makes perfect.lol You can write/send a txt just as fast with this phone than any other, just need to know your way around the phone.

If you're happy with the functionality of nokia stick with them, otherwise be different and get a motorola V70 mobile phone. Overall I am very happy with the phone, it looks very cool, is easy to use and I do not regret giving up my nokia. This said there are a few features which nokia phones have that you might miss here, for example, the games aren't up to much and also although there is a security code like nokia, this does not lock the phone to the current sim chip. From my experience the battery last longer than my old nokia 8210 and the reception is far supirior, especially for the person on the other end of the line. Some people have complained about the preemptive texting, however after getting used to it i would say that it is more customisable and easier to use than nokia, although getting to symbols is more difficult. Overall i would say that if you want a mobile that looks great and are willing to sacrifice a little functionality from your nokia then this is the phone for you.

I WAS FED UP WITH THE "BAR OF SOAP" SHAPE OF THE NOKIAS....TIME FOR A CHANGE!
I got my Motorola V70 mobile phone for a great price (Price match and phone trade in), as I know they are still expensive. What a great phone though. I've always had Nokias and needed the change. Glad I did. As in a previous review it stated that the menus were not as good as the Nokias, Rubbish! You can use the new personalise menu, in which you can change the whole menu to suit yourself. I now end up just pressing ONE key to start my SMS message! I now use ONE key to voicedial! Great. Yes, it is a smart phone and yes, the keys are small for my pyramid fingers, but I don't care. The plus features outweigh the negs.
I just wish there was a way of answering calls without having to swivel the phone. Hey Ho.
Brill phone though.

First the bad news on the Motorola V70 mobile phone. After a while the rotating motion does become tiresome while the small screen is something that takes a lot of getting used to.
However, the new Motorola design team have worked wonders on this phones styling. I believe that this phone will make history as the first of a new and more stylish breed and this goes a long to way to making it a pleasure to own.
Congratulations Motorola for the V70 and continue the good work.
