Tuscany, Tavernelle Casa Ida

We stayed there for 2 weeks in May 2009 and have booked to go back for another 2 weeks in September 2016, can't wait. The owners are so lovely too.

Stayed for 3 weeks this summer. Really nice house and furnishing, and the owners were nice too. Beautiful garden and breathtaking view from the kitchen and living room, and also from the pool. The position is perfect for going around in the morning (S. Gimignano, Siena, Barberino val d'Elsa...), and sit by the pool by mid afternoon.

Only thing, a bit too much light comes in the rooms in the morning (if you're used to complete darkness, as we are).Will definitely go back!

Would not stay at Tavernelle Casa Ida in Tuscany again. Felt the owners were not interested in us enjoying our stay but just in selling us wine at over inflated prices (not good wine either) and making sure we didn't break anything or move furniture around. I didn't find the villa particularly clean, dust and cobwebs everywhere and the fridge was a bit dirty. Horrible bugs that came out at night and dropped off the ceiling onto us.

Arriving late we were worried about not having the basic essentials to get us through to the next day and no welcome pack was offered and not available when asked about. The one tea towel to last the whole week was a bit difficult and the kitchen small and unworkable for major meal cooking.
