Despite all the advertising blurb that it does, the two slot vario model will not make a toasted sandwich with 2 thick slices of pre cut bread and a minimal filling. The Vario was the widest slot according to their customer services. Big waste of money. If you believe the hype all the parts are replaceable. 1950's exterior if you like that sort of thing.

Ultra reliable, makes brilliant toast. I have had mine for nearly 15 years and it's like new. I make loads of toast with it. Spectacular value for money
