Ascaso Dream Espresso Machine

I was very undecided about purchasing the Arc as there were not all that many reviews of it and it was a little more than I really wanted to pay for a small home machine.I then decided that over the course of a year if it only lasted that long the cost per cup was next to nothing so bought it.

Really pleased with the machine so far, much better than the Gaggia machines I've had of past. It took a while to get used to it and I even contacted them asking for help in getting the best coffee out of it and they were really helpful & quick to respond.

So far there are only positives about it, the only downside I have found is that of the steamer. While it its really steamy it takes a bit to get it started. I read a review once that said they steamed before making the coffee and this works so much better I definitely agree. TO get the very best steam you have to start the steamer, pull a bit through and then let it build up further; it will then push masses of steam out for the perfect steaming and frothing.

someone commented on the review sites that the noise level too and I was a bit worried about that but I find this machine no noisier than others I've hand but its far less noisy that my kettle so don't worry about that at all.

I find it works best with Segafredo coffee too. Delicious!

All the more reason to love Ascaso and love Barcelona.

A beautifully engineered machine, solid construction and great looks. It is something of an investment but I am hoping it will pay for itself over time. The quality of the espresso is equal to the best I have had in restaurants and coffee shops. The English translation instruction book could be clearer, but after a little trial and error it works like a dream.

Ascaso Dream Espresso Machine broke while used for home. servicing it would be too expensive. i would not buy a new one.

This ascaso dream espresso Machine, is an overpriced over sized kitchen decoration and a waste of the planet resources.

Unfortunately you cannot try before you buy and there are more disappointing machines out there than capable performers. I would start with something cheaper than this Ascaso Dream Espresso Machine as price is not a measure of performance. I had a Dualit which made good espresso and it was half the price.
