Don't Buy Hoover

I bought this machine for the 5 year guarantee, which is fake by the way. 2 years down the line there is no hot water getting into the machine, you have to put the switch to 0 to get your clothes out after its washed them, I have to constantly use the washing machine cleaner as the machine encourages mold for some reason when the machine spins there is a terrible grinding sound, we lost our receipt so hoover wanted £199 to give me a years guarantee, which does not include labour. If all that isn't a slap on the face anyway the woman on the phone tried to sell me washing machine cleaner at an inflated price. Will not be buying any Hoover product in the future. Hotpoint will be the next washing machine as they have served us well.

Purchased Hoover Vision Hd For The Sole Reason Of

Purchased hoover vision HD for the sole reason of a larger load so as to wash duvets etc, What a mistake ! I find that not enough water is circulated on larger loads and on some occasions the clothing has not even got water on it ? After having it about a month, it made a horrendous noise so engineer number 1 arrived and retrieved a coin out of the pump. Yes I know I should have checked pockets but surley this is a common thing that coins and buttons etc get into washing. 2 weeks later the same thing happened and before you say it - yes I did check pockets. This time it was a button again stuck in the pump, Engineer number 2 wanted to charge me £90 needless to say he was told to stick it where the sun don't shine and after a call to head office,I sugested they look into the design and perhaps should have put a mesh guard so that buttons and coins do not get trapped in the pump, they agreed a button could come off clothing at any time. Wow 3 months past no trouble ! oh oh spoke too soon, water not draining, no not the pump but the brushes and the programmer were buggered, phew not my fault said engineer number 3. Whilst he was having a cup of coffee I asked him WHY the machine seemed to be rusting in several areas, a lot of shrugging of shoulders, scratching of head and a couple of grunts, ("dunno Madam probably coz they are made abroad" ? ) I have had many washing machines over the years ( a lot of years ) and have never had 1 like this that has rusted so badly and so quickly, in so many places. Would I say buy this machine NO don't bother

I Bought This Machine Purely Based On Load Size (8

I bought this machine purely based on load size (8kg) and cost. To have 5 year garanteed parts was worthwhile an investment I thought....clearly not. It went faulty just after a year and was told labour would cost £120, however if you paid £150 approx which covers 12 months unlimited labour costs. Their preference is for direct-debit payment otherwise extra £10 sur-charge to pay it off in one lump sum!!! What a rip-off!

It seems Candy & Hoover are both doing the same thing. I made a mistake, should have stuck to Bosch (had a 6kg washer-dryer and went trouble free for over 6 years!)

HOOVER VHD8142

A good machine purchased with a 5 years parts guarantee.

1.2yrs down the line a jet cover comes adrift from the drum, rings up hoover to get the part which would cost me £20 to buy and fit myself but i have the 5yrs parts guarantee or so i though.....

Lady on the end of the phone says i can have the part, when would i like an engineer to come out to fix it at a price of £150.

i replied i just want the part to fit myself as its a 30 second job that a 4yr old could do......."oh i can't let you do that, you have to have an engineers fit it"

so all in all the 5yrs parts guarantee is a con, it stated it can fit a a double/kinsize quilt in it yet it can only just handle a single let alone a double.
