Shoot Em Up

If you like action films, no doubt the promise of guns, blood, violence, etc will have called to you. I, like many I would suspect, thought its Orange Wednesday, i'll go see oh that Shoot Em Up guns film. Many actual reviews have said that this is an action film with lots of guns and shooting and more of the same. That's true, it delivers this but it's not worth much more. The storyline is vague at best. Something to do with a conspiracy to breed a child with the correct bone marrow match to the villain. But that is the best of what you get. The main character chases round with a baby and its surrogate hooker mum, enlisted by the main character who whilst constantly chomping carrots goes round shooting the baddies. I have to be honest, I was so bored by the lack of story and on screen diversity that I started to drift off to sleep! I might've been mislead by the adverts but I was disappointed if you're after gun violence and frequently corny dialogue then give it a look but I would wait for a rental DVD myself in hindsight.
