i was not at all happy with the service my bridesmaids got today at bows+bells in kirkcaldy.1 of my sisters is bigger than the rest but that doesnt mean 1 particular staff member gets to humiliate my sister.......not everyone is a size 0 or thereabouts....disgracefull!!!!

The staff at Bows and Bells Kirkcaldy are absolutely fantastic. My daughter and I have had excellent service from start to finish. We had such a good time on our 1st visit that we were both looking forward to the fittings. We weren't disappointed. The experience of Isobel and Rae is second to none. We walked in off the street needing a dress in a very short space of time and at a limited budget. They have done us proud. Their honesty and advice has been much appreciated. Appointments were needed for the fittings but that was to be expected. We've had no nasty surprises as far as cost was concerned, everything was discussed and agreed. They make a great team.

Few days ago, myself and a few others went to Bows and Bells as i am getting married October of this year.I was soooo excited, It was the first shop we decided to go to and on entry to the shop, there was no notice to say there we had to book an appointment, so we went in. The shop was quite roomy and there seemed to be plenty to look at so was excited of the choice i would have for my dream day! There was a bride through the back trying on a dress with a few assistants round her. We continued to look at some colour swatches waiting to be aproached by someone who would be able to assist us. 10 minutes had past and we was still waiting....and waiting.....and waiting. An assistant walked past us who had been outside, and another had came to where we was stood to get something then walked away again!! There was no acknowledgement what so ever!! Ok there was someone trying on a dress, i get that, but the fact that nobody at all had came to us to say they was busy or even a simple hi was just down right rude, it felt as we was not even there, and it made me feel quite down!! I thought i was meant to feel the best i ever could when shopping for my wedding dress, as meant to be the most important day of my life, well i most certainly did not feel special in Bows and Bells!!after nearly 20 minutes of walking round the shop waiting to catch the attention of an assistant we left dishearted of what we would go through in the next shop! To my delight, the next shop we went into could not have done enough for us, they and the others we went to on the same day were so very helpfull and made me feel like i should have felt, excited and like my day mattered! I would for sure NOT recomend this feeling or this shop Bows and Bells (Kirkcaldy) to anyone i knew shopping for their special day! Manners dont cost a penny, but go a long way. I realise, to the shop owners that it is a business to them, but to me and others getting wed, it is the start of the rest of a happy life with the one i love.So dissapointed!!!!

UTTER DISGUST!We were ignored from the minute we walked in,which was so uncomfortable,felt so sorry for Jaime (the bride to be).There were no signs on the door stating appointments only so we thought would be great to be our first port of call for the day.BIG MISTAKE.we stood for 15 minutes ,still not even a "hello".to be fair there was a lady trying on her dress through the back ,but considering there were three attendants,the least they could have done was say "sorry ladies we are a bit busy ,could you come back?".Then another assistant walked through the front door,straight passed us ,making no conversation and straight into the back room closing the curtain behind her.We walked out the shop ten or so paces to the next shop and were greeted with a huge smile and an extremely lovely lady who couldnt do enough for us.I will be writing a complaint to the company as this behavour almost ruined what should have been, the first of many to come, wonderful days for the bride to be. I went in on the off chance of finding a dress, the staff were brilliant, I got my dress the same day I went in, they have a wide range of dresses for everyone and great deals on dresses.

They are honest with you and I will be going back for my bridesmaid dresses next year.

My daughter married 2 years ago and Bows and Bells were fantastic, I will never forget the whole wonderful event, the assistants were fantastic and very helpful... I will be getting married again soon and it will be my first choice to go because I know I will have the dress of my dreams.

The customer service at bows and bells is excellent the assistants made my mum and myself feel really relaxed and welcome nothing was to much trouble for any of them my mum and i just walked in off the street and i was able to try on dresses the assistant did explain that it was usual practise to make an appointment but as they were quiet fitted me in anyway i told the assistant what i wanted from my wedding dress and she was able to show me straight away a number of dresses that met my requirements I finally decided on my dream dress that very day even though i had just started looking. However to make sure and put my own mind at rest and make sure my dream dress was actually my dream dress the assistant suggested i have a look at what the other bridal shops in the high street had to offer. I need not have bothered after i found that first dress no other compared in my eyes, and as for the customer service in the other shops well although one of them was quite good not one of them compared to the customer service at bells and bows. My dream wedding dress is now on order and i know its going to look gorgeous on my wedding day this summer (2008) Would recommend bells and bows to anyone looking for there perfect wedding dress. There range of bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dresses are also stunning too . There customer service is 5 star.

It's amazing the amount of Wedding Dress shops we have in our hometown. I hadn't really thought about it until my daughter announced she was getting married. I was honoured to be asked to help in her quest for the perfect dress. We found 5 shops in our main High Street, and in one of them would be THE dress. We started off by visiting one shop only to be told that appointments were now the norm. Gone are the days when you just walked in and started trying on dresses. After this we called into all the other shops and made appointments for the following week.
Bows and Bells was the last shop on our list, not because we didn't rate it... only because it is at the very end of the High Street.
Immediately the bride-to-be and entourage are made to feel very welcome. Considering the amount of customers they must see in a day/week, the two assistants were enthusiastic and positively excited at the forthcoming wedding. One assistant asked my daughter if she had any style, colour, fabric in mind.....and then took her lead from that. We were shown half a dozen dresses, and each time, listened to what my daughters reaction to them were...muntil finally showing her the dress of her dreams. In all I think she tried on half a dozen, until she emerged with the one dress that was perfect.
The two assistants were patient, attentive, good humoured, and very focused on making my daughters dream dress a reality.
The dress is now on order and I can foresee no problems. My daughter has been told that she may go into the shop at any time to either show the dress to other family members, or pay a little something towards the dress, therefore spreading the payments.
Bows and Bells rated a mention on the Review Centre, not only because of their professional manner and great customer service, but also because they can show the other wedding shops in my High Street how to conduct business. All but one were appalling to differing degrees. The other shop got the business for bridesmaids and flower girl dresses.
